Skyward Sword with an Xbox 360 Controller

I would love to have a computer that could do this.

Are there high-res textures mods available for Dolphin as well as 360 button images like for Xenoblade Chronicles?

Wholly unnecessary from my perspective. The only things about Skyward Sword's control that I disliked were swimming and the need to recenter.

I haven't checked on this in a while, but how did they emulate motion plus? When the game came out I don't think this was possible.

Cool, I guess. My problems with the game aren't related to the control scheme, so I can't imagine it would make much of a difference for me.

This would change Skyward Sword from a ♋✌✖☠ game into a ❧✔✘▲ game.

Well, I knew it was possible. Only question is, how cumbersome does this setup feel?

I'll have to try this out. To be quite honest, I wish someone would rather work on texture mods or something for this.

Honestly, I'd be more interested in that Twilight Princess rejigger the guy has. Neutering SS with a gamepad is pretty lame.

I guess it'd be pretty rad for people with arm/hand issues and can actually get a Dolphin set up running.

So...is there any proof this video is real, or is it just random footage of playing Zelda on Dolphin and saying "yeah, I'm using a normal controller to play a Motion+ game."

I'm looking at it in Dolphin right now... This is pretty bad, to be honest. The only way to reproduce all the axes of the MotionPlus would be to assign them to the right analog stick and both triggers, and that's not even how he has it set up.

EDIT:
OoT has the best implementation of motion controls.

Can you at least try to do something other than starting a motion control shitstorm? Christ.

I might have to give this a shot sometime. The controls in SS were completely awful for me. Not a single thing about the motion controls that I liked. Though it could have been my crappy bluetooth adapter, seeing as how praised they are.

Going to have to try this when I build my new PC. I had issues with the controls being properly detected when I attempted to play so I kinda gave up around the start of the fire temple when the enemies started requiring more precision.

See, I liked the motion controls in Skyward Sword as long as they were restricted to the combat and some of the items. It was only in other places that they felt tacked on- like controlling Link's dives with the motion controls, flying, swimming, the harp, the puzzles that used the motion controls, using the Wiimote to climb and balance Link...

In any case, this wouldn't fix most of Skyward Sword's issues. The game's broken pacing, repeated tutorials, and bland graphics have nothing to do with its focus on motion controls.

it's called the GC version. you can buy it easily somewhere.

Saying what I think about this and the people who enjoy it will probably get me banned so let me just say I love Skyward Sword and if this makes the game more appealing to you, well I guess it's not the end of the world.

When I build my PC, I would like to see how motion less SS Zelda would turn out.

Yeah, I don't get this. To me, this is like people that aren't good at something (or at adapting to something), and their excuse is 'bad controls'.

16:9 support, yo.

I don't think there's a need for either side of the motion control debate to be this cagey.

There are plenty of people who dislike motion controls. The fact that you can't grasp that, and you try to explain it away with other shit, just shows how narrow minded you are.
