Gamer answer - Untapped potential of the 360 and PS3!

Possible answer - Console version with an even lower resolution (640x480 making it's glorious comeback!)

Game looks sweet, especially the beginning... the trailer was annoying. What's up with all these game trailers using that annoying machine pulsing sound? "Brrreeennnhh breeeennhhh" I've noticed a sound like that in several games including this and Black Ops. It's quite agitating.

the most obnoxious one is in battlefield 3. it was cool the first time you hear it, but then you hear it again and again until it makes you want to claw your ears out. i agree its a terrible sound effect.

They mentioned sandbox style gameplay, to which I'm hoping it's true. The gameplay during the conference seemed to showcase some sandbox elements.

The particle effects surpass even those from the particle mod for crysis 2.

Noticed a few things in this video. Looks like there's a new hacking ability. A prompt came up near a door but the player didn't use it. The new weapon models look really nice too. The attachments are more visible and the angle/size isn't as obtrusive as in 2.

Does more to sell me on the game than any of the shitty trailers. I really like all the new detailing on the weapons, especially the Scar.

Crysis 2 maxed sans DX11 runs great. Crysis 2 truly maxed out crushes worlds. Tessellation is a real framerate killer.

well only if you have like quad sli 680 etc even then it may be hard to achieve such IQ

It's gonna support MSAA. That + downsampling can work wonders.

I said wow at the water part towards the end. Amazing shooting animations for damn sure. I never played any of the other 2 games all the way through, but I may just pick up Crysis 3 eventually.

I only have a unlocked ATI 6950 2GB, but downsample from an internal game render resolution of 2560x1440 to my 1080p tv, and it does wonders to IQ.
