NeoGaf's Dream Launch Schedule for WiiU and its Games

Should WiiU or Pikmin3 launch on Miyamoto's Birthday?

I would like to see Nintendo release the WiiU earlier than November.
Im looking at mid-October. This will be to allow some breathing room
for publishers so they can maximize selling their games during the last quarter.
Especially Ubisoft.

We have a lot of late ports that can initially fill the shelves.
They can be quickly replaced with more up to date multi-plats and
exclusives.

I'm seeing a lot more games catered to the core being sold first.
Then around Xmas, the family and expanded audience will get the main focus.
So here is my dream launch schedule:

Mid October

Medal of Honor

I wonder how long it takes for these people to realize how stupid "Game Title U" looks and sounds

There's dreaming, then there's been delusional.

I only want one title in the OP, and that's Trine 2. Needless to say, I already have it on PS3. I guess Mario if it came down to it but...I think this may be the first Nintendo system I don't fully support.

Maybe. Unless Smash arrives.

Day 1:
Jubeat
reflecbeat
Beatmania
DJ Max
Taiko no Tatsujin
et al.

Day 2 - Day x
DLC for said games

Doing lists is always fun isn't it? ^^

I will go a slighty different way:

Mid-october: Japanese launch, Nintendo Land not bundled; *
Mid-november: PAL launch, Nintendo Land bundled;
Week of thanksgiving: US launch, Nintendo Land bundled.

On day one in the West: NSMBU, Pikmin 3; Everything that is third party multiplatform; And the 3rd parties new IPs that are ready (Zombi U, Tank Tank Tank). Making it simple, no other release in 2012.
Next batch of games: End of january/early february, we want to avoid an empty quarter here, instead of the traditionnal gap until the first march month. Some digital freebis for early adopters until march will be cool too, preventing the ambassador mess since not so many people understand what's being an early adopter.

* this is my "perfect shedule". If I'm in bet mode, I will say japanese launch will be early december.

A dream launch schedule? Uh, okay.

Super Metroid 2
Metroid Prime 4
Metroid Prime 5
Metroid Prime 6
Metroid Other M: The Director's Cut Out of Production And Retro Subs In Edition
Yoshi's Island HD
Half Life 3
Portal 3
Team Fortress 3
VVVVVV 222222
Bioshock Infinite
System Shock 2 Source
Super Smash Bros. Wii U: With Mega Man, Professor Layton and Mrs. Game & Watch
The Legend of Zelda by Retro
Kid Icarus Wii U

Well, considering I will be buying most of the big third party games like Ass Creed, Bioshock Infinite, GTA, Borderlands, 2, etc. on the PC, the only games that will attract me to the Wii U will be Mario and Zelda, with legacy titles thrown in.

With that being said, this is what Nintendo would have to do to make the launch a dream launch:

All Virtual Channel games backwards compatible with the U-controller:
New Zelda
New Super Mario Brothers (not NSMB but a NEW Super Mario Brothers 2D game)
A top down, side scrolling Rygar remake
A remake of Link to the Past
Online features that blow the competition away

Wii U releasing in Europe this year will blow my expectations...

If I get to play Pikmin 3 in the year 2012 I'll be more than happy

/abused Nintendo fan ;(

i thought pikmin 3 and p100 were launch games, no? nintendoland pack-in at least makes sense.

metroids, paper marios...let's be honest, if there's just GC games at VC some of ya'll will be happy.
