The final night of the Democratic National Convenfion. I'll probably miss it the VMAs this year. I really want to catch all of th DNC if possible.

It's sad that this will be overlapping some key speeches. Hopefully it won't overlap the current POTUS's speech.

Some stupid pop artist will win something for a shitty song that was accompanied by a shitty video given to them by a TV channel that doesn't even lower itself to play these shitty videos anymore.

Also: fun. is in the best new artist category. :lol
 
If Psy was confirmed, I would watch it for his one performance.

But this is MTV we're talking about. It'll never happen.
 
I hope that Frank wins but "Swim Good" seems like a weird song for him to be nominated for. It's been out for over a year and a half.

It's MTV. All they do are stupid things. They've made a lucrative billion dollar business based on making the wrong decisions over the past 10 years.
 
If fun. wins, I hope they remind true to the spirit of the song and have Janelle walk by during the last 5 seconds or so of their acceptance speech.

Nope. Also, Swim Good's MV was released after the 2011 VMA's and there hasn't been another video since. It has been almost a year since it's been out though lol

Rolling Stone called it that but it seems like she is just performing WANEGBT, people were trolling saying she was going to perform SoG. She does play a cancer benefit show the next day though.
 
Not going to bother. I never learn my lesson and end up tuning in, but look of the parade of average on display here.

It's a sad day when you start thinking things such as "Rihanna would be the only performer worth watching".
 
Got free tickets for the main pit at the event. Mostly looking forward to Calvin Harris at the pre-show and Frank Ocean. Should be a good time though
