Two in April. Destroyin' Backlogs HD Edition

The challenge is simple, complete two games in April. They can be games you started in March 2013, or December 1997, it doesn't matter, just get them done by May.

Two games this month since students are going through a heavy testing period and have finals prep as well. The number of games will go back up in May, but, as always, feel free to do more games than the thread requirement.

Tools:

Backloggery
How Long to Beat
GAF Backlog Blitz Thread

Past Threads:

Four in February, take a bite out of your backlog
Three in March. Destroyin' Backlogs One Thread at a Time.

My List:

Mark of the Ninja (PC)
XCOM: Enemy Unknown (PC)
Age of Empires II HD (PC)
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga(GBA)

So why are the # to finish going down each month? Any reason?

Should I assume June thread will require 0 to be finished? :P

Well, I participated in the last one for the first time, no reason to not continue. Going to go with 3 based on what the 3 are, and 3 that should really no longer be on my backlog any longer, all things considered.

Persona 1
Persona 2: Innocent Sin
Persona 2: Eternal Punishment

I'm going to go for:
Ninja gaiden (vc 3ds)
Retro city rampage Wii

Not long games, but I have much too much semester projects to commit to bigger ones.

Edit: ended up beating new super Mario u instead of retro city. Also on the end of ninja gaiden.

My list includes...

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Blue Dragon (If I sell the game do I have to keep it on my back log?)
Grandia III
Lost Odyssey
Toy Story 3
Star Ocean 4
Final Fantasy X-II
Risen 2: Dark Waters (Likely going to eBay this one...)
Folklore
Heavenly Sword
Rayman Origins
Tropico 4 (Campaign)
Sherlock Homes (Yup, eBay)
Eternal Sonata
Just Cause 2

My goal is to have them all completed by the time Saints Row IV comes out, and for sure by the time the PS4/Nextbox comes out.

I am going to go for beating Black Ops II, Toy Story 3, and Lost Odyssey this month.

I think I'll participate in this as well. My two games:

Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii). Shouldn't be too hard, I have a save right before the sand ship area. Just gotta power through the fetch quests.

X-Com: Enemy Unknown (PC). Got it for free with Bioshock Infinite. Might as well play it, I liked the demo.

i am going to complete fire emblem awakening and catherine for sure. i'm pretty close to the ends.

April 8th Edit: Yesss beat these on the weekend! These are the first games I've actually finished since January :'( haha.

It makes no sense. In fact, when we hit 0 in June that's when I'll have ample time to finish off my games.

You guys are hitting the nail on the head.

Number went down for April because students have to deal with tests and finals prep.

Months like May, June, July will have more games. Of course, you can always complete more games than the thread requirement.

I think we should have 10 in June.

I'll join in again this month. My games:

MGS3 - About 9 hours in and two bosses down. Unsure of how much I actually have left.
The Cave - Picked up for free on PS+ and have been itching to play it.

Adding in:

Portable Ops - Another MGS game I never played that I want to beat before MGS5.
SMT 3: Nocturne - Started this last month but still only about 2 hours in.
Persona 3: FES - Social Link go! This one is a long shot.
Tales of the Abyss - Another long shot for me this month, but I've already got a few hours under my belt.

I failed and I only had to complete three for March. I didn't realize my schedule was going to be so busy. Anyway, I'm in and I should be able to do this.

Ni No Kuni
Fire Emblem

I should be recieving FE in a week but if not I'll change it to something else.

Broken Sword 2 Remastered (iOS - currently in progress)

Probably Beneath a Steel Sky (iOS) because I am currently addicted to adventure games on iOS. It also doesn't hurt that I've never played any of these games.

DLC Quest

A Vally Without Wind 2

Thief:Deadly Shadows

I plan on finishing these this month. Hopefully Dota 2 won't interfere to much.

Final Fantasy VI
Bioshock Infinite
Tomb Raider

I failed miserably in March, completing only one (Fire Emblem).

I'm closing in on the end of Luigi's Mansion though, so maybe I can find another game to make it two this month?

Hopefully I'll complete: BioShock: Infinite and Tomb Raider this month if I can tear away from my Terraria addiction. Been playing split-screen with my wife on PSN and having more fun than I originally did with the PC version due in part to it.

Fire Emblem Awakening, which I started in March.

Mark of the Ninja, will start soon.

Since I'm not a student, I'm gonna add the Donkey Kong Country trilogy on Wii (Virtual Console).

Bayonetta. The Darkness 2.

Extras:

House of the dead: overkill
ratchet and clank all 4 one
sonic generations
enslaved

I'm on track to finish Duke Nukem Forever, which is kind of sad when I actually think about it. I guess because I bothered to play it in the first place I feel like I have to finish it, though holy crap is it awful.

I would say Fire Emblem though I don't know if I'll get around to that.

-Duke Nukem Forever
-Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon

Bonuses

-Mark of the Ninja
-Xenoblade
-Borderlands 2 DLC

Hmmm, let's see.

I plan to pick up SMT: Soul Hackers, so I'll probably beat that.

May resume my Fire Emblem marathon I put on hold with Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu

Those two for now. Not sure why thread keeps going down though, I think aiming for 2 will turn people into underachievers. :P

I'm just hoping I beat more than I buy for the first month this year.

I'd like to finish Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and LEGO City Undercover. If I buy Luigi's Mansion from Gamefly I'm sure I'll finish that as well.

Might put some effort into Dark Souls again too, but HA HA HA HA I won't finish that one.

I keep doing these things and never succeed, but i'm definitely going to finish:

Final Fantasy XII: International Zodiac Job System
Gravity Rush
Bayonetta
Silent Hill 2

I want to work on the following:

Atelier Meruru - I just finished Ayesha in March, so Meruru is the only PS3 Atelier game I haven't completed yet. Started the game last year.

Fire Emblem: Awakening - Started in Feb.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - Started last month.

I have over 100+ games in my backlog. I really need to work on those... :(

I want the hard drive space back so I'm going to do LA Noire.

My second choice is Transformers War for Cybertron.

I started Bioshock Infinite last week and I'll probably be done with it today or tomorrow. So that'll be 3 for me. Will squeeze in more if I can.

I really need to participate in this thread. I need to get through the Killzone trilogy before the fall. Got the triple pack so I qualify for the HD criteria, right? :)

I technically beat Mark of the Ninja today (at 4AM), so I'll count that. I suppose I'll aim for 3-4 games for this month. I also have a bunch of Wii games to play through, but I'll focus on my 360 games for now.

This is my stack of unbeaten physical 360 games. I left most of these games in the middle of or close to the end of run:

I refuse to finish Dark Souls until the DLC goes on sale. I tried popping in Tales of Vesperia since 2 GAF members on my friends list have been playing it, but my Xbox has been unable to read the disk which is strange. I've tried cleaning the disk and using the Game Doctor on it but no dice.

I think I'll finish Bully: Scholarship Edition as well.

Bioshock(PC), you know me. Everyone be playing Infinite. I'll finally play the first.

Same here. I'm halfway through Bioshock with Bioshock Infinite waiting in the wings.

So for this month:
Bioshock
Donkey Kong Country Returns

Bonus round:
Spec Ops the Line
Bioshock Infinite.

Can we carry over from last month's thread? My backlog has a backlog. Spring Break messed my gaming up so I have 4 for April. Last month I completed Tomb Raider 100%.

Carried over

- Bioshock Infinite
- Tomb Raider Anniversary (100% all time trials and relics)

April

- System Shock 2 (Impossible difficulty)
- FTL (Easy difficulty)
