JoinDota is pretty much just Tobi in a room, nothing compared to what BTS and GDStudio can offer.

TI2 had the same price pool.

Maybe they think they can get a really big turnout this year?
They probably will. I was hoping to attend since I'll already be there for PAX.
Doubt they'll get an invite but hopefully they'll show up in the qualifiers.

JoinDota is so far behind the other studios now it isn't even funny. Tobi can't compete right now.

Also, Qpad aren't going to qualify, they have too many issues that aren't going to be solved in a few months. They are probably 6 months away from being good. I mean, they have Sing as carry now.

August? Was the last one in August? Seems like the last one was so long ago and the next one is too far away.
I kinda like JD tribute video on TI2, that's about it. I think Tobi throwing a fit last year was part of the reason why JD didn't get to host western qualifier.
But they don't have on the same cosmetic items!

I think it was quite a few things at this point. It's not hard to come up with quite a list of why they might not want Tobi involved with this.

It won't matter. You can predict who will be the most commonly used heroes before group stages begin.
Most teams won't risk using a newly introduced hero who can be altered mildly from what is seen Dota because of how differently each engine works.
