Dragon's Crown - The Finer Points of Combat

Gonna quote myself from the other thread
The guy talks about not being easy to tell if you're on the same plane as enemies, but any time he missed his attacks the shadows (player and enemy) didn't line up, really noticeable on the spider as he moves away from it's shadow to attack. So to me it seems paying attention to shadows will help for the most part in that area, unless you're in a dark location.

Though I do like how you can change movement between Dpad and left stick, I'll definitely be doing that since I always prefer Dpad movement in 2D games.

But yeah, this game can't come out soon enough. My pre-order receipt is fading a bit from being in my wallet for several months, hopefully they can read it by August 6th lol

Yeah, I noticed that right away. The shadows are a very good indication of whether or not you're on the same plane as the enemy.

I'm actually surprised at how many enemies can apparently be on screen at one time. Hopefully the engine can hold up when everything is going crazy during those situations.

I so hope this is Double Platinum!

Will be devouring this game!

2 64 Page Art Book is an awesome Bonus in itself

If you play this game single player do you still have a party of four?

In singleplayer, you have the option to bring 1-3 other npcs to fight with you. You find their corpses lying about the levels, and you bring them back to town to resurrect them and enlist them to your aid if you want. It's all optional.

What I don't know is whether or not you share loot or xp between the npcs. Will you receive more loot or xp by playing solo? No idea.

Hopefully it is balanced so that if you select 1p it is balanced for that, 2p it is balanced for that etc. Use NPCs if you suck.

Yeah, the shadows were obviously off when he whiffed those hits in the video. I don't expect much of a problem there.

I'm pre-ordering this, I think.
