There was a few weak episodes but each one had at least one skit that had me rolling. That's pretty good for sketch comedy.

I guess I can kind of see where it would get annoying but it's like, come on dude you made bank off this shit. People love you work, grin and bear it.
I love Chapelle but I kind of hate this whole, "Why do my fans love me so much, GAH" attitude celebs like him and Zach Galifanakis take up when they hit it big.

What other comedian would even think of creating this skit? The dude is the credit for all the comedian shows that dominate Comedy Central. Hell, nobody on the internet would think of making a sketch like that back in 2003. The guy was an innovator in that regard.
Maybe some sketches were a bit light but the show was quite an innovation and created a unique voice.

I have to completely disagree. There are many, many funny chappelle shows and individual skits. How could it be overrated unless its being compared to something. Its just a funny show, nothing more nothing less.

As I've matured, I've realized that everyone is different, and with a topic as subjective as comedy, what may be funny to some maybe unfunny to others.
However, this right here? To say that not a single joke in 23 episodes of THE CHAPPELLE SHOW was funny? It cannot be fathomed.

People tend to overrate pretty much all sketch comedy shows, they remember the good bits and forget the bad/average ones.
The Chappelle's show also has a problem that people quote that shit into the ground, but man there were some funny funny bits in that show.
I mean shit, the racial draft, Wu Tang financial, when keeping it real goes wrong, game: blouses (to name a few of the top of my head), this is some laugh out loud stuff.
p.s.
The show need to get more love for the musical guests they had, because holy shit.

Examples and something presentable usually accompany or strengthen controversial viewpoints, saying it was wasn't funny and leaving it at that doesn't give us Chappelle show fans anything to argue about.
