God bless Neon for throwing Refn a bag of money to make another extremely pretentious neon-lit non-story.
The man hasn't made anything good since Drive but every once in a while he just randomly pops up with some hyper stylized trailer and you're like "yeah sure, why not".

Refn keeping to his "pornographic" (his word--not mine) aesthetic, I see.
The guy sure can do visuals.
I skipped Only God Forgives and his TV series, so can't speak to that, but I thought Drive and Neon Demon both had traditional-enough narratives.

I actually really liked Only God Forgives, but I understand why most people didn't and I get it. Something about Mr. Refn's films pull me in, maybe it's just how pretentious they are, (there's a dirty rotten hipster buried in me somewhere), I don't know, but I do tend to like em. This seems interesting, but then again I never saw Neon Demon and this seems related, so maybe I should catch that first.
