Does anyone know any good ones I can watch with my little guy he's really into Halloween as his dad is :p however I don't wanna give him nightmares.

I was thinking Hotel Transylvania and Nightmare Before Christmas - any other good ones?

That Frankenweenie movie isn't supposed to be that bad (I haven't seen it, though).

I remember Monster House being pretty good too.

I also loved Goosebumps as a kid, but those might be too creepy?

there's also Casper

and The Witches, but that's probably borderline too scary....

The Halloween Tree

An animated version of the Ray Bradbury novel. Shows the origins of Halloween from different time periods and cultures. It is really cool. Oh and
Leonard Nimoy
rules as Moundshroud.

As a fellow non-horror Halloween lover, and as the father of a 5 year old who fucking LOVES ghosts and Halloween:

1) Nightmare B4 Xmas
2) Peanuts
3) Garfield Halloween
4) The Grinch's Halloween aka Halloween is Grinch Night (trust me)
5) Monster House
6) Casper
7) Hocus Pocus
8) the Addams Family
9) Adventures of Ichabod Crane (and Mr. Toad)
10) Hotel Transylvania (surprisingly good, my kid loves it)

and if you don't mind cheese and can handle a $5 budget Harry Potter: 11) The Worst Witch

When he's older:
- Something Wicked This Way Comes
- Sleepy Hollow
- Young Frankenstein
- Rocky Horror

Probably borderline?

The Witches scarred me as a child I found it ridiculously scary I still don't want to rewatch it now

Also Hocus Pocus

Unless Sarah Jessica Parker or a cat getting run over are too scary for him.
This. Plus Gremlins, the Disney Channel original Haloween Town if you can get your hands on it, Ghostbusters, and maybe The Addams Family. Dunno about that last one, haven't seen them in forever.

I would definitely second the Ernest movie. I watched that a bunch when I was a kid, that and Ernest goes to prison, at least I think that was the name.

Nightmare before christmas is also really great, and I watched beetlejuice when I was a kid a TON. Although I'm not sure if that would freak him out. There's some... imagery in that movie.

What was that Halloween movie that was dug up a year or two ago that was suppose to air on Nickelodeon's, but it aired once and never again because it was too scary for kids.

A defanged Halloween. Apples without razor blades, virgins without homicidal stalkers, scientists who aren't mad, and old houses free of hauntings. I don't like it.

Ernest Scared Stupid and Hocus Pocus aren't bad picks.

Spaced Invaders? That took place around Halloween didn't it? PREPARE TO DIE EARTH SCUM!

Hocus Pocus is one my girlfriend and I's favorite kids friendly halloween movies. Just so good. Probably the hottest SJP has looked ever too.

Also how the fuck has no one said monster squad yet?
