Yes, I know we've had a couple of pet peeve threads where this has been a common peeve, but I think it deserves its own thread.
The most obvious are people who just slop away with their mouth open, talking and getting food all over and everything.
From there, it's a continuum down along the line to people who don't talk, but chew with their mouth open; to people who open their mouths sometimes while they chew; to people who keep their mouth closed but still manage to chew loudly; etc.
And, of course, it can vary by food too - things like gum, soup (yeah, let's lump slurping into this discussion too), chips, etc. Various things are more annoying than others.
In general, though, I just hate the sound of people chewing - even when it's not as high on the obnoxious scale. Sometimes I just have to leave the room, put on some noise to drown it out, or something.
So, I know I'm not alone in this. So, let's get some hate out for loud chewing noises.
