£5 and we've known for ages quality is not a sales driver (neither is price). The multiplayer is the least bad thing about the game. No idea if it has an active community.

I guess the bigger question should be why didn't Duke Nuke forever ever do the same? Then again I guess other games were more popular when Duke £5.

It's the case with allmost all multiplat titles, the PS4 is the leading platform. Only the 360 Lego Marvel game is selling more.

Yes. And Xbox One is losing everywhere. Most remarkable is that its losing so badly in UK where Microsoft sold very well with the 360.

Microsoft decided to go all in on the US market and they are losing badly in the EU because of it.

It's been released in every European market that they had any hope in, uk was the strongest market outside of USA and they look like losing that.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z must have sold a few thousand units but at least it had a better debut than Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi.

We only have data for Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit and Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi since the other entries didn't chart, but these two did also better on Xbox 360.

It remains to be seen if the 360 outsells the PS3 but I'd put my money on the PS3 coming out on top by a handful of units.

On the plus side, the XBone will certainly stay ahead of the Wii U.

I'm pretty sure there's many people buying games outside the UK from Amazon.co.uk because games are 30% cheaper in the UK than other European countries. That would count in the UK charts.

It did. 24 to 21 million, pretty much off the back of Halo. Aka the 4-player console FPS market Nintendo told to piss off post-N64. OOPS.

France: Software Unit Sales 2008 - 2012




Edit: Wii U had 111.000 software sales from January 2013 to April 2013, so it's 273.000 units as of April 2013 (should be far more now).

Is that Vita number definitely correct Captain? Half a million units shifted? Proportionally speaking that's pretty damned impressive.

Ah, sweet. The OG Xbox was a cracking console, way ahead of its time. Still got mine, though it hasn't been hooked up since I last craved some JSRF.

If the 360 finishes third overall for last gen, that'll be weird. It was a great machine for the first four years or so, but then the software seemed to taper off hard. It's done a killer job staying on top in the UK though.

I am not from the Uk but I know I am waiting for a next gen port. This would be the only late port I would buy.

Edit: It sold 200.000 hardware units in 2012, so the tie ratio is 2,38 for that year, that's in line after all, it got released in February, so it's the whole year basically.

I am pretty sure being the 2nd with 24 millions and being the 3rd with 80+millions are quite different story. And if we minus those purchases from causal gamers, I believe Will would be less than PS360 and stand on the 3rd spot which means X360 perhaps stands for 2nd in the last gen.

UK PS4 sales were at 500K a few weeks ago, who knows where they are now (how many have Sony shipped? That's how many!).

There are about 6mn PS3s in the UK, so probably ~10-15% of the UK PS3 user base.

Ps4 versions have been outselling x360 and ps3 versions for a couple weeks now. Most people green or blue are upgrading to ps4. Ignoring it doesn't make it any less true.
