EA remain at No1 this week with ‘Titanfall’ (-28%) taking a second successive week thanks to the recent release of the Xbox 360 version

Titanfall makes it 3 weeks at No1 in total, the other coming at launch in week 11 on Xbox One). The highest new entry at No2 is EA’s ‘2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil’ on just 2 core versions of Xbox 360 and PS3. This is the 6th FIFA World Cup game from EA since they acquired the rights in 1996 and began tying in with World Cups from 1998 – those of you with maths skills will note that 1998 to 2014 is just 5 World Cups – the reason being that EA published 2 World Cup games around the 1998 event (‘Road to the World Cup 98’ and ‘World Cup 98’).

Warner drop from No2 to No3 with ‘LEGO The Hobbit’ (-12%) and EA’s ‘FIFA 14’ also drops one place from No3 to No4 (-8%). Ubisoft take the second highest new entry at No7 with ‘Trials Fusion’ and there’s a re-entry at No20 for Square Enix thanks to ‘Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’ which launches this week on PS4 - previously launched on PS3/PC back in September 2013.

Very surprised X360 TF version is still higher than X1 version, -28% is a good number

2 weeks in a row without any "Nintendo" game.

6 FIFA games in the top 24, damn

360: 16 Titles.
PS3: 8 Titles.
PS4: 8 Titles.
XBO: 7 Titles.
PC: 1 Title.

360 owners need to stop buying games and move on to next gen.

What's a 'Nintendo' game? Are they available at retail? PS4 or XBone?

The UK is becoming Xboxland again.

Nintendo might want to consider being a bit less rigid with their price reductions. Nobody wants to pay £30+ for a game that's been out over a year.

not a better machine for young children, Skylanders, Lego, Minecraft etc

6 year olds don't care about going 'Xbox on'

Yes. The 360 is still the biggest selling last gen console. It's very surprising to see games sell better there than on PS3.

New current gen releases are consistently charting higher on PS4 though, so there's a shift happening, it's just that the majority of gamers are still more than happy with their PS360's and those are the people who'll lap up games like GRID Autosport and the new Borderlands...

I imagine MS are hoping the same thing.

Of interest it shows that school breaks are the perfect time to release games, lets hope we don't have another summer games drought.

I know you're joking but for people asking, by "Nintendo" game I mean a game relased on a Nintendo Platform. What is the next 3DS or WiiU game possibly charting? MK8 is 5 weeks away.

Edit: Kirby : Triple Deluxe maybe? I don't see Etrian Odissey or Mario Golf charting

Titanfall on XBOne seems to have more legs than people thought. How long has it been out for? InFamous plummeting fast?

6 weeks.

It's worth noting it's been discounting in recent weeks with Zavvi dropping the price to £30 over the weekend. Not to mention that it's currently bundled with almost every X1 sold in the UK.

I'm sure EA is really happy about that decision of not releasing FIFA World Cup for XB1 and PS4. Publishers were really surprised by the fact that the hardcore crowd (those that buy 2/3 games a month) went all in on next-gen leaving last-gen behind.

Not a single 3DS game in the charts? Ouch.

Surprised to see PS4 titles slipping so much too. Interesting..

Expected considering the smaller userbase, but still every multiplatform next-gen game is selling more on PS4 than on XB1. The complete opposite of 360 vs PS3.

95% of xbox gamers on my friends list are still playing on 360.

This is why I consider the decision to resign the Borderlands game to last-gen only is very foolish and incredibly short-sighted.

Last-gen sales are going to be even worse by the time that releases.

Does seem crazy. same with that new grid game though at least it's out a bit sooner.

Not sure about Borderlands. That IP is very popular with the mainstream market (buy 2/3 games a year) and those are still on last-gen so Borderlands has a chance of success.

The only thing that decision allowed was giving the next-gen market for Destiny and Activision on a silver platter. That game is going to be huge and the first next-gen game to establish itself as market leader IP.

RoI is probably pretty high though, so while it may seem that it's a bad decision, they are probably making a nice tidy sum from the game.

Licensing is not cheap though. That's why they made so many shortcuts with the UEFA Euro 2012 game/DLC regarding licenses.

Titanfall is free with virtually every Xbox One at the moment, and with the price cuts, that is a big factor into why it has the legs it has. Still impressive though

The 360 version has done better than I expected

Silly me, I totally forgot about licensing. Yeah, with that mind, the decision to not have a current gen probably wasn't the greatest...

so...

titanfall has a -28% drop overall this week.

and the splits this week and last week are are

Week 15

Xbox 360 (71%)
Xbox One (27%)

Week 16

Xbox 360 (58%)
Xbox One (41%)

This week Titanfall only had a 28%, so far it is doing extremely well.

And the 360 version that did 34k whihc makes the X1 version 9180

Pretty sure the 360 version sold around 34k or thereabouts. (Chobel did the math)

so

28% of 34k = 9520
34000 -9520= 24480

41% of 24480 = 10036 = X1 amount sold.

am I the only one that thinks a 56 unit increase in sales is not a good thing for an £80 price drop clearance item? Especially one with now a full week of sales, with some over those sales over a bank holiday weekend?

And thats assuming every titanfall sale is a sale of the bundle, which it obviously isnt.
Am I just over thinking this or what?

May not be great but it's buying them time and most likely keeping them at parity with ps4 for now.

Not really. Titian fall is bundled so expect it to be top of the charts for a while.

I think you mean a 856 unit increase?. But I still say the original formula to figure out the base value of Week 1 left enormous room for error, like + or -50%

Surprised to see Xbox series Trials charting higher on PS4 than XBO.
Currenlt pretty much every current gen multiplat sells better on PS4 irrespective of previous trends. Not really a surprise as PS4 launched larger than XB1 and probably extended that lead LTD. On last gen you still see 360 hold strong of course. Its facinating to see the shift in dominant install base occuring so plainly.

I'm in time for a PALs thread :)

Titanfall seems to be holding relatively well, bundles will have helped the XB1 SKU

Infamous seems to be dropping fairly fast, I'll do a breakdown of a couple SKUs I think later

Price is ridiculous if it's really 45 GBP
