THE GAF TAPE is the first installment in a community music project made entirely possible by a talented bunch of GAF muscians. This free album contains contributions from a huge number of artists in a wide range of genres. From Metal & Rock, to EDM, to experimental music.

This project has gone way better than I ever expected. To all the artists who got involved, thank you for your great tracks. And for the listener, I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I had compiling it

You can follow the progress of the entire thing here: www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=787457

Yay, great OT :) Hope I can be a part of following projects as well, love the idea.

Edit: Ha! Tagged i see :)

Nice OT!

I'm glad to have been a part of this, hopefully there are more of these mixtapes in the future :)

Will comment on the album when I get to listen to all the tracks

Neat idea, though I'm a little nervous to actually listen because I'm a fussy baby when it comes to music and hate 99% of it but LOVE the other 1%.

Great OT! Nice to see this finally finished :)

Will give it a complete listen now, only skimmed a bit through the tracks before but what I heard sounded great.

Really like what I've listened to so far...

'Dusk Till Dawn' is perfect as an overture to the album, really impressive work in terms of both composition and production.

I love 'Close Your Eyes', it's very atmospheric and evocative. I wish it was longer though, and the ending is a bit abrupt, but other than that it's an amazing track.

'Fortunate One' is fantastic, very creative to make a dance track out of those vocals in Bioshock Infinite, and the music complements the vocals perfectly.

'Star Cluster': I don't know why the beginning of this track reminds me so much of the Persona 2 soundtrack, might be the synths or something. Very unique track, I like the piano work and the contrast between the calmer parts and the parts where the bass kicks in hard.

I'll comment on more tracks as I listen to them

Excellent job, deli2000, and thanks for putting it all together. And thanks to all the contributors. There are some really nice tracks on the album, and I'm not just saying that because one of them is mine.

Thoughts after the first listen:

"Dusk till Down": simply perfect choice as an opener,
"Wildfire" ...well, i could clearly see myself browsing through some Gran Turismo menus while listening to that
"Empyrean": dance music is my cup of cake, so this got me instantly.Lovelly mood on this, some nice variations troughout and a very good mix
"Tiny Jesus": this made me feel old, those 90s breathpad!
"Becky Kramer": Fidelis Hodie is at it again. INCREDIBLE production value for a track that easily surpasses 90% of the shit i can hear trohugh the radio nowadays. My track of the album.

Just some points form the top of my head. Very enjoyable album alttogheter, great work everybody!

Is it normal that I can't reach modusproductions.com?

The link in OP just redirects (to something decidedly m0dus) and there's no sign of the compilation.

Great work everybody.

It must've been something recent then, I downloaded some of the albums a couple of days ago and the link still worked

That's weird, it must have been a recent change to his site. I made some slight tag corrections (a few old albums were out ages ago and didn't have proper track numbers in addition to a few other typos or flubs) and hosted the entire G.A.M.E. collection on OneDrive.

Daaammmn neos, some high praise dude. Thank you so much!!

Oh my, a sticky!

The most exciting kind too. eh eh eh

Oooh how fascinating. I never knew GAF got involved with this kind of stuff. I'll be enjoying a listen! Maybe if there's a next one I can hope to join in on the fun.

Oh awesome.

Before I've only really listened to Fidelis Hodie's and sadsic's music (love them both) so I'm excited to check out more GAF music. :D

After listening to this multiple times: I'm so sorry for dragging down the overall quality of the album :D Next time I'll try to come up with something better!

Lol no, that's me.

Naw guys, totally me, my bad. :p

Nah, breh. I broke the dam.
My kick is a little too hard/clicky :(

I'm loving Empyrean. It wouldn't be out of place on a MoS Ibiza compilation.

Awsnap! Thanks!

No, mine's the worst. Volume's too low compared to the other songs :<

Listened to it last night and it was dope! I've been playing around with Ableton lately, so hopefully I'll have something for a GAF Tape 2 or something
