Specifically Emily Partridge, who confirms it on her twitter account.

Here is the link to the actual tweet, there's more too.

Ryan Pequin (storyboard artist for Regular Show) brought up this news as well.

Former writer of "Clarence", Patrick Harpin posted this on his tumblr page.
"Clarence" Head-of-Story reaction

I was Head of Story on “Clarence” from the beginning.

Obviously Skyler Page sexually assaulted a female artist at CN. Skyler’s a piece of shit, and CN should give him the boot. Emily Partridge is one bad-ass chick for standing up to a guy who a lot of people wanted to cover up for. Skyler’s asshole behavior (though not yet sexual assault) was the main reason I quit the show more than a year ago.

I can’t imagine how fans of the show are feeling right now. But the reason you like Clarence, in spite of it’s creator, is because the “creator” had very little to do with the show. Despite what it says in the credits, Skyler never wrote a single episode of Clarence. It was created by the writers (me and Spencer Rothbell) and the talented board artists (people like Charlie Gavin, Derek & Diana). We took Skyler’s idea of “a fat dumb kid” and made a character out of it. Skyler mostly “kept the couch from floating away”, and read whatever lines we gave him. There’s been enough victims of Skyler Page, don’t punish the talented crew that actually raised Clarence.

From what I've seen on Emily's twitter, she claims that HR is investigating this.

Thoughts?

For anyone who doesn't know what Clarence is, it's a cartoon on Cartoon Network about a fat dumb kid and his two friends.

Lock if old.

While my opinion of Clarence is a negative one, that doesn't excuse behavior like this ESPECIALLY if what they say of his involvement of the show is true.

Really shitty thing to hear, and I hope this is resolved soon without the show being negatively affected.

Why air this shit on Twitter and not, you know with lawyers?

This is really weird to me too, why are there no authorities on this? Why is this solely on twitter and tumblr?

It's extremely difficult for victims to go public with their ordeal, and reporting things to authorities often ends up with details about what happened in the public record. It not as simple as 'call the cops/call a lawyer.'

This is without going into why it's hard to get a sexual assault report to go anywhere with the authorities.

Emily refers to it as 'this Skyler Page fiasco' like it had already leaked or gone big - was there an original source/article about it or something?

I get it, thanks.
no sarcasm

i think some tweets originated a few days ago and then started getting elaborated upon on tumblr shortly thereafter

Is he guilty or accused? Is it wrong to ask?

Whats the story here?

I feel like Skyler's mother thought his name would make a cute baby name. Not realizing that he will someday grow up to be a grown man.

Apparently there has been another victim of Skyler Page, Sara Pocock.

She tweeted this:

This was yesterday.

2 hours earlier today, she posts a vague yet reassuring tweet:

I take it that Sklyer Page has been fired.

EDIT: I've been reading some of her tweets, and it doesn't seem like she was a victim. She just didn't know what Skyler had done.

Show was fucking awful, so if it goes away too I won't mind.

If the dude was really doing those things, he should be punished.

Part of me really dislikes the show period. I mean intense dislike because it sometimes slips in between shows I actually want to watch. But I never want to hear of anyone being sexually assaulted or losing their job :/

Hope Clarence doesn't get cancelled. Hope the artist's account is correct and Page didn't have much to do with what made the show as good as it was. If so firing him should have little effect on the show's future prospects.

Noooooo, that's fucked up

Sounds like things are being handled alright so far. I hope that's true and that the show and the team aren't too negatively affected by this.

There is so much shit floating around with this right now. That tumblr post is BULLSHIT. Skyler wrote and did the entire first episode of Clarence by himself. Dude has no idea what the fuck he's talking about. Not to excuse Skyker's actions but he's a huge reason the show is the way it is.

I have a lot of personal friends that were affected by this and know a lot more than the shit slinging going on at Cartoon Brew. I never met Skyler but I've been told he has had trouble with mental illness and drug addiction, which does not excuse his actions AT ALL. But this isn't the first time it's happened, and for whatever reason this time was the breaking point and this happened at a party a few nights ago and the people involved chose not to keep quiet anymore. Em didn't bring it up herself, others started talking about it on Twitter without mentioning her name, but so many assholes were demanding "proof or it didn't happen" that she finally came forward.

Sarah Pocock wasn't a victim of this but she works for CN and she wanted to get more people to speak up and go to HR to keep it from just being covered up and shushed away. Her line of thinking is that the more exposure it gets the less likely it is to happen again.

As for people who don't like the show, that's fine and all but saying it should be cancelled is completely fucked. I have two good friends who work on it and they don't deserve to lose their jobs, nor do the rest of the crew, due to the actions of one person on the team.

Is there some joke I'm missing here? Why is everyone misspelling Skyler White's name to Skylar?

@WordAssassin: I edited my post saying that she wasn't a victim. But your post helps better than my post did.

i really enjoy clarence so this is upsetting and surprising to hear, i hope skyler gets what is deserved and doesn't come out scot-free, hopefully the show's production will be unaffected and can continue being a fantastic cartoon without him on board!

Why do people try to discuss serious matters via social networking.
To spread awareness for it so it doesn't happen? To give support to people who have been victims of similar abuse so that they don't have to fear speaking out themselves?

How is a social network not an approriate venue to discuss something serious? It's the fastest way to get information to as many people as possible. Remember the earthquakes and tsunami in Japan? Like ALL the news was coming in via Twitter.

Why do people try to discuss serious matters via social networking?
Because it works.

because companies will protect producers of products that generate revenue.

CN seemed to act pretty fast when names were named.
Yes. It's a really powerful tool to speak out when there's no easier other way to do so.

It's how society does stuff now, impersonally.
This all seems extremely fucking personal to me. What are you talking about?

Discussing a matter like this through a social network is personal?
Are you just doing an old man vs clouds things? Emotions are raised, names are named. What isn't personal here?

Are you confusing personal vs private? Seems like it was kept private until they realized nothing would come of that. Twitter ended up helping.

So why exactly are people up in arms over Cartoon Brew's involvement? Because they reported on it/used the victim's picture without her consent?

Well, also, she's told them that she didn't want to have her picture in the article, but they're outright refusing to remove it, citing "standard practice" or some shit

Amid Amidi (cartoonbrew's main editor and also a known jerk) tweeted something along the lines of "Maybe instead of tweeting about it you should go to the authorities."

That and the zinger at the end of their writeup is a little tasteless.

Granted, none of that is too far beyond what you see in this thread.

EDIT: ^^ plus that.
