I chew gum at various points throughout the day. Usually some mix of Trident, Extra, and Stride.
While I have a toothbrush and toothpaste at work, I don't always use them. After breakfast, snack, and/or lunch I usually elect to just chew a piece of gum or two to manage the food particles and I brush when I'm at home instead. But there are times when gum doesn't seem like enough.
I'm big into gum though. Sugarless. I haven't chewed sugar gum since I was a kid. It's funny because, for the most part, sugar chewing gum is pointless. Sugared Double Mint taste about the exact same as sugarless Extra Smooth Mint.
I buy in packs of 3, but I wait for sales. Sometimes regular supermarkes will have 2/$5 deals on 3 packs of the aforementioned Trident, Extra, Stride, and others and I'll usually bite at that price if I'm already there for other food shopping and I'm low on gum. That said, stores like Walmart and Target have even better prices, often going to 2/$4 which is a rather good deal. Depending on the gum, that's 42-54 pieces for $2. Can't complain there.
Mostly the minty kinds are what I go for. Not really into the berry ones or fruit flavors in general. There are exceptions. 5 Gum's Apple flavor, Extra's Lemon flavor, and Stride''s Sour Patch Kids Lime flavor are all quite nice.
