With little in the way of new releases, ‘The Last of Us: Remastered’ (-55%) easily holds on to the No1 crown for a second week.

The Top 3 are all unchanged with ‘Watch Dogs’ (-14%) and ‘FIFA 14’ (-19%) still holding at No2 and No3 respectively. Retailer promotions for ‘GTA V’ (+37%) propel it six places to No4 its highest position since the end of October last year. ‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’ (-2%) remains at No5 while ‘The Lego Movie Videogame’ (-10%) slips two places to No6. ‘Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition’ (-7%) also slides a place to No7. ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ (-2%), ‘Battlefield 4’ (-8%) and ‘Sniper Elite 3’ (-25%) round off the Top 10 this week.

The sole new release breaking into the Top 40 this week is Capcom’s ‘Ultra Street Fighter IV’ landing at No15. ‘The Last of Us’ (+73%) also makes a second appearance in our Top 40 this week with the original PS3 version climbing to No24.

Ah, right. Unless there's an update during the week (from MCV or...why not, Gamescom!), PS4 is still under a million after 37 weeks and, thus, it'll cross the streams next week with Wii.

personally the one in your avatar is the worst purchase so far this year for me. bought it on pc and played for a day and got bored and never touched it again. 60 bucks down the drain..... goddamn hype got to me. atleast i finished watch dogs which had its flaws and repetitiveness but it was fun most of the time for me

Are you so sure that they'd announce that milestone as soon as they hit it? I don't doubt you, but has it happened with every console?

I asked him the same question last week. i honestly don't see Sony announcing 1 million sales for a specific region at this point. they might announce worldwide sales to be 9 or 10 million tomorrow at gamescom but that's it. there is no point comparing it to wii as well because wii sold like crazy in its initial years and ps4 will never keep up but i think it should be able to beat its lifetime sales tho in the long run.

It's not Sony the one who should announce it, but a site like MCV, or Eurogamer. MCV announced recent 360 milestones, 3DS reaching two millions, and also PS3 reaching 5 millions. Eurogamer announced Wii reaching 1 million. So, we have history (especially recent) stating that they do that. So, why shouldn't they with PS4?

Depends, do Eurogamer/MCV get hardware numbers from an independent tracker or from Sony/MS/Nintendo themselves? If it's the former I can definitely see them announcing it, otherwise they're in the dark just like us

Pretty much obvious PS4 is slowing down now, especially at this time of year. It will pick up closer to Xmas.

I'd wager the X1 is tracking behind the 360 now it might have a higher LTD, but that's purely from launch sales.

The Kinectless Sku seems to have zero effect on their fortunes. I Guess they are just gonna have to hold on and just keep adding as much value to the system as they can. It's pretty much Sonys gen to lose now.

Xbone titles seem to have been doing gradually worse in the UK charts for the last few weeks now. PS4 is starting to lock down the region.

Watch Dogs bundle is being sold by Argos for £349.99, TLOU has also been bundled and available for £340 at Gamestop (sold out). There's really not much difference in buying the console on it's own vs buying one with Watch Dogs and/or TLOU, at most you'll probably be able to take £10-20 off the price when buying just the PS4 but the majority of places are still selling it for the £349.99 RRP.

Using Gamestop for UK isn't really that accurate since they are based in Ireland and avoid certain taxes in order to hit their cheaper than everywhere else price. For the majority you won't get that price elsewhere so I'm not sure how much they affect the overall chart

Thanks for those. Some seem to be announced by Chart Track, others by sites leaking their data, and a few are articles based on console maker PR/interviews. So we could either get it before or after depending on who's controlling when the data is released.
