Yeast doughnuts are the best. My favorite ones are the ones at Chinese buffets right when they come out hot. They tend to almost be more salty than sweet. The blueberry-filled at my local doughnut shack are pretty fantastic too. The blueberry filling tastes just like a good blueberry pie.

Cake are good pretty much across the board.
Like most yeast donuts but not plain glazed. Love maple squares, long johns, custard-filled bismarks, and iced yeast ring donuts.
Like most misc. donuts too, like apple fritters, crullers, cinnamon rolls, etc.
Chocolate milk is my favorite pastry lube, not a coffee drinker.

I actually go without the donut and just get the coffee black. But really heated up. None of the lukewarm Starbucks crap.

Cake and with pink/vanilla frosting and sprinkles.
The yeast does the work. I just take advantage of their natural finesse.
That applies to a lot of things other than waffles, actually.

Cake normally but apple fritters are GOAT.
District Donuts - my favorite spot for sweets. They have a standard set of flavors, but they also rotate their specialty flavors from day to day. They're a bit pricey, but each donut is large enough to serve as an entire dessert. Soooo damn good.
No matter where I go for donuts, I tend to avoid the ones with filling inside. I don't want them too fresh out of the oven/fryer, because then they're a bit too soft for my liking. Sometimes I'll go with plain glazed, but District's cookies & cream are fantastic.
