Ever played a dreaming-related game?

Inspired by this thread:

Ever had a gaming-related dream?

What are some of your favorite games that have a lot to do with dreams and the meaning and substance of dreams?

I know it's a little on the nose, but I think Mario and Luigi: Dream Team got a bad rap and was really under-appreciated. The Luiginary Works in particular were pretty inventive, especially the one where you use different sides of Luigi's 'stache to slow-play and fast-forward:

Also, I haven't played Tomodachi Life, but I did really like the idea of seeing into your character's peculiar dreams:

So GAF, what games have you enjoyed or been fascinated by that had significant content or themes based on dreams?

(Please do not post an image without saying what game it's from. Thank you!)

Dream of GAF if old.

LSD, Yume Nikki, Psychonauts, and Link's Awakening spring to mind as having dreams as a core aspect.

Final Fantasy X has dreams as a plot device but it's kind of background.
Max Payne's dream sequence deserves mention too.
Oh and MGS4's dream sequence, oh that nostalgia trip.

I played Link's Awakening... that's about it I think.
I like how the concept allowed them to go a little nuts with some of the enemies and characters.

Nobody mentioning Dream?

Not sure how I feel about it yet, though it's still in active development. Neat concept, and certainly very pretty.

Try Buddy & Me for mobile. It is sort of an endless runner, but set in a magical dreamworld. Probably one of the best looking 2d games I have ever played on mobile.

Catherine was a good one. Another one I've played is Eternal Sonata which was set in Chopin's fever dreams imminently before death... or something.

Yeah, nothing really comes close to LSD in that regard, meaning it's everything and nothing, and things only make sense if you want them to (just like a real dream, more or less). It's more of an experience than a traditional goal-oriented game though (not that there's anything wrong with that).

th

Juggernaut. Don't know if this counts because the protagonist enters his girlfriends mind, but its pretty trippy none the less.

Classic game.

I also played Dragon Quest VI (rather, its remake for the DS), and that flying bed fucking ruled.

Spoiler alert.

This has some cool b/w dream sequences sometimes when you go to sleep. The whole game has lots of atmosphere.

The Amiga classic that was very weird indeed.

I remember playing Fatal Frame game which happened inside a dream. Not sure which one, I played on friend's place. Scary stuffs.

Plenty!

... And many others in the franchise, but I don't want to flood this with Kirby pics.

And the awful Wii one!

Also, the Wiimake of the original and the 1st GBA game.

This is the first one that came to mind when I read the topic title.

I've also played the aforementioned Tomodachi Life, although it has to do with far more than just dreams, and I really want to play LSD some day... *Sigh* I'd snatch it up on the US PSN so long as it's available on the PS3.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, I really want to play this one day, too! And speaking of the Amiga, I've also played the newer Great Giana Sisters game.

Did the Wii U version ever get the DLC? I appreciate that they made it, but it definitely feels like a rushed port.

That's Fatal Frame III. The game started out kind of unenjoyable for me, but after a couple hours it turned around and ended up being a pretty good game.

Well, I played this arcade game by Sega at a Chuck E. Cheese last week:

My local Dave and Busters has one of these, and it's really fun.

I'm currently playing Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
The humor is awesome as always, but the tutorials are so damn annoying and time consuming, that I want to throw my 3DS against a wall every time they start repeating basic stuff.

The main plot thread of a great, old Infocom text adventure, The Lurking Horror, is sparked by a dream. It's an excellent interactive fiction that really captures the essence of Lovecraft. Also the books and stuff it came with were great for building the atmosphere.

LSD and Yume Nikki are the GOAT dreaming games. As yet, nothing has come close to giving me the same feeling of being in a dream as those games. Well, actually the Tomodachi Life dreams are a pretty good representation, good call on that.
