Ever had a gaming-related dream?

Ive had mutiple and since i typically game before bed it's still fresh in my mind which may be why games work their way into my subconciousness.

the two most recent dreams:

As with most dreams i cant recall much details, but last night some person was walking around with a box full of vitas asking if i wanted to buy one. ( i used to have a white one and it was my favorite most played system at the time, but a stupid airline lost it in january). I casually said no but i didnt want a black one...then i asked the price.. It was only 50 bones - Which is a no brainer - so i said sure why not. Then i asked if she had a white one..which she did and that too was only 50, usually they are priced way higher... Then having never tried a 2k, i asked if she had one to try, which she did.. I played it and the screen was terrible... And i couldnt figure out how the screen was so bad but everyone says its not... I later realized i needed to turn the brightness up and all my faith in the 2k screen was restored. Whats really weird is that ive never held a 2k or seen it in person, yet in the dream my brain managed to create the feeling of what i imagine the ergonomics and form are for the device... Anyways i woke up then...

Another time recently, after playing TLOU late into the night i had a dream/nightmare involving the infected etc. dont recall anythig from it though...

I was in the game, man. We had to create this new gaming console with those exclusive games and it was rough as hell. You know what I did first when I woke up after that.

Honestly my dreams are usually at least video game inspired if not entirely in video game form. Last night I dream some sort of weird Terraria sort of thing and kept trying to set up self-sustaining resources to use on this big Actraiser-like map.

I heard people that grew up with black and white TV often have B&W dreams, I wonder if that's related. Like, the way we view dreams has changed after the introduction of games, TV, movies, maybe fiction in general?

You'd think nightmares in video game form would be less impactful, they're not.
 
My dreams are quite often, me being a character in a video game.
Not any games in particular, but they are mostly post apocalyptic adventures.
I'm aware I'm in a videogame, if not a dream.
 
One of my most frequently recurring dreams is finding rare PS1 games at various stores. Many of which are completely made up.

Also playing a game that I somehow end up inside, which no matter the genre it starts off as, becomes horror.
 
I've seen my WoW bars at the bottom of my vision. lol

My buddy marathon'd Counterstrike once as a kid, and told us he had a dream with crosshairs in the middle, hahaha.
 
Not sure if it counts, but after playing The Last of Us late at night, I usually dream about living in a post-apocalyptic world. Scary stuff.
 
Dont know if this counts but after playing Bloodrayne for about 9 hours straight in highschool, my entire existence was in "dilated perception" for about 2 days. Was actually kind of scary, EVERYTHING felt like it was in slow mo, even my dreams. I think they gave that ability a cooldown in BR2 because of that lol
 
Yeah, lots of times. Usually happens when I'm really in to a puzzle game like Tetris, Lumines, Meteos, Dr. Mario, even ChuChu Rocket. I think the repeated patterns etch in to mind pretty hard, and I see those patterns in my dreams. I've also occasionally dreamed about going shopping and buying all the games that don't exist but I wish they did.
 
I usually dream up games I am really looking forward to. I had 2 dreams for Zelda U and i remember having one for Super Mario U and KH 358/2 days.
I remember being disappointed by how the 2 Zelda games looked in my dream, also a ton of people raged (in my head) because Link's hair was shaved and he didn't have is hat because he was thrown in prison.
The Super Mario U dream was basically Mario Galaxy combined with the visuals of Mario Kart 8.
The Kingdom hearts dream was Roxas flying around traverse town fighting a big heartless
 
I've had them for years and they're generally awesome. During the last couple of years I've had VR type dreams, one not so long ago it turned out that the 'VR' in the dream was in fact real and I was killing people for real...but I was having so much fun I carried on anyway lol

Good job firearms aren't legal here in the UK lmfao.
 
When Halo 2 first came out, I was at the midnight launch. I had a take home test for calc 2 that I finished once I got home and staid up the rest of the night playing until it was time to go to class and turn it in (just dropping it off and heading home).
I played for the rest of the day until I went and had dinner with my GF. It took me 30 minutes to drive home that night. The red tail lights of other cars started to look like elites armor. I'm pretty sure I was half asleep when that happened. Stupidest and scariest thing I've done.
Needless to say, after I got home and played a few matches, I went to bed.

Do day dreams/ hallucinations count?
 
Yeah a couple of times. Most recent was two nights ago I dreamt I was playing P.T. Don't have a ps4 and i've been interested in trying PT. Closest i'll get for now lol :'D

Actually when i think about it, i dream of playing games i don't have yet a lot.

When i was young, i dreamt i was playing FFVIII before i got it Xmas morning. And i've dreamt of FFXV before haha
 
I'm not sure if it counts, but when tripping once on MDMA all I could see was visualisations from League of Legends from character portraits and ability icons to sound effects from the game.
 
I recently dreamt about playing Guardians of the Galaxy The Game. Haven't even seen the movie yet. The game was OK, 7/10 would play IRL. Graphics were shit tho
 
I remember when I was a kid I had a dream where I met Santa Claus and he gave me every Kingdom Hearts game ever to be made from the future and every console needed to play them. I was so sad when I woke up :(

Also, after playing Catherine for a while, I literally could not close my eyes without hearing the pushing block noises and seeing block patterns. I would then dream about it all night. It was awful and I had to stop playing.

Haha I've had similar experiences. When Mario Kart double dash came out my friends and I were obsessed and played split-screen all the time. I remember taking LSD and being able to play Mario Kart in my head.

I've had several gaming dreams. Especially after long sessions of Halo, I will continue to play the game in my dreams. I've also had dreams that were weird hybrids of games which is interesting.
 
One that stands out was me running around killing people with the Halo energy sword. It was kinda messed up.

I also dreamed a Nintendo conference once, like back in GC days. Zelda and Mario both had grassy fields and may have overlapped because dreams are weird.

Also dreamt once that there was a sequel to Super Metroid on SNES that I had never heard of or seen before.
 
When I first started playing WoW back on '04 I started having nightmares about the Defias Brotherhood.

On more than one occasion my wife had to wake me up because I was screaming at them. Not my proudest moments
 
I once had a dream there was a belated sequel to Skies of Arcadia released called 'Stars of Arcadia' that was like Mass Effect (exploration wise)with space ship battles like the ship battles in Skies. Though I may have just read that on a forum somewhere and been influenced before hand. Always liked the idea, so it stuck with me.

Also dreamed once that Peter Moore drowned me in a pond in some wetlands near where I live. Does that count?
 
Whenever I play a new game that's amazing I usually dream about it that night, or after seeing an amazing announcement (during E3 for example). Other times I usually dream in game-logic, specifics elude me right now, but that's always something that sticks in my mind after waking up.
 
I usually don't remember them but I'm sure I have. Apparently as a child, I would mime like I was playing a game, controller in hand pushing buttons while I slept.

Same deal when I played Catherine. I don't think I actually had any dreams about it but every time I closed my eyes before falling asleep I would see blocks moving and hear the words "Edge."
 
After playing Mass Effect 2 for the whole day, I had a dream I was Shepard fighting enemies in a abandoned warehouse.
 
Yes, quite a few when I was younger. Hadn't had a gaming-related dream for quite a while until a couple of days back though... I've played The Witcher 3 and it was glorious, I tell you.
 
I remember when MGS4's trailer in the middle east came out I had a dream where I was in a war torn city and Snake was there. Can't remember much else other than the sky going black and everything becoming dark, I think from some flying creatures blocking out the sun (maybe Raging Raven?)
 
Yeah, I've had some dreams where I was either watching TLG gameplay videos or playing it. And I can tell you right now it's the greatest video game of all time.
 
Oh definitely. There was this brief period where I was just obsessed with finishing this flash puzzle game (Pixma 3, for those curious). Damn thing haunted me. Couldn't even get away when I was sleeping.
 
Wasn't so much a dream but a waking dream/hallucination about Dragon Age II. I was trying to find Anders and I kept looking at the I game map. It was weird.

I've had others but can't recall them.
 
When I was playing DQ9 a lot, I had a dream that I skydived out of a plane with a bunch of slimes. They didn't have feet but were somehow attached to the skis. We landed without parachutes on a snowy mountain and ski'd down, collecting ingredients for the alchemy pot.

Yeah, I was kind of addicted.

And not so much a dream, but when I was playing DDR a lot, my feet would move to patterns while driving, and when I closed my eyes I'd see arrows flying up the insides of my eyelids.
 
Back when I used to play Minecraft online a lot, I had a few dreams about it. can't remember much of them though.

The coolest dream I ever had, kinda video game related. Radiohead had a concert in a back garden and they played Zelda music.
 
Last night I dreamed that I went to a strange, poorly lit store and paid $8 for this small figure of Waluigi. I remember feeling regret immediately after I paid, since it looked so poorly made.
