Just making this thread as a few people complained that the PS4 log in sound plays during the PS1 boot up when turning the PS4 on.

Firstly download the theme from the PS store

EU https://store.sonyentertainmentnetw...sary/cid=EP9000-CUSA01501_00-20THANNITHEME001

US https://store.sonyentertainmentnetw...:visit-playstation-store:ps-playstation-store

then go to settings, sound and screen and turn off key tone (that is the PS4 log in sound)

Also make sure to have system music on (also in sound and screen area).

Might as well ask here; can you remove the blue background completely? I hate that the blue background pops up before transitioning to themes when booting up the console.

Also they've mixed the PS1 sound in 5.1/7.1 surround. So good.

no, afaik themes are tied to the account that logs in, that's why a theme starts when you log in

OK so tried it but the sound doesn't start playing until you're on your home screen.

I thought it might play during the PS logo and then fade in when the home screen appears.

You can still get it now.

1. Make an EU account.
2. Go to settings on the EU account and activate your PS4 as the primary system for that account.
3. Download the theme in EU store.

Well, it's not that lame but sadly after that it's the same PS4 BGM playing all over with a touch of a retro-ness to it.

Still when I first heard the bootup sound it sent goosebumps all over me, the little kid in me and all the experience of the PlayStation flashing right before my eyes

You can hear some PS2 sound bits in there also. Just let the theme idol on the home screen and put on some headphones.
It's really a mix between the PS1,PS2,PSP,PS3,PSV and PS4.
The PS4 theme is a lot more dominant tho.

Yup, that works also, and you don't need to turn off click tone, once you click out of the game screen you hear a clean version of the boot up theme.
