A creepy thing that happened one day when I was playing Mass Effect 2

So I've stated several times that I appreciate EA. If it wasn't for them, I would never be able to enjoy the beautiful thing that is Mass Effect 2. Which is somewhat odd since EA usually likes to align themselves with mS anyway.

So I was playing the derelict reaper mission. At a certain point, whether it was right before I got to the core or in the core itself, I was fighting the hordes of husks and having really bad framerate issues. They became so bad, that at a certain point the audio was cutting in and out until suddenly for a few seconds, there is silence, and THEN I hear...

...what I think is the zombie husk screeches, except without the synthetic voicing filter, just straight screetching voices (this is the Me3 sounds, I heard the Me2 sounds which were a lot creepier especially if that's all the audio that's coming out of your television).

As great of a game that Me2 was, it was riddled with technical problems. That's one of the reasons the original trilogy could benefit from a new engine remaster on the Ps4.

I'm confused, sounds like what Space Zombies are supposed to sound like to me. Edit: Oh the video you linked to is what the real sound is like.

What exactly are you confused about? I was having framerate issues, then static audio issues, and then after a complete cut of audio, that's all I was hearing through my TV.

Except the Mass Effect 2 version and without the synthetic voice filter.

Came expecting creepy pasta. :(

I don't remember running into many bugs on PC, OP.

The PC version was way better than the console version, but specially the PS3 version which not only had a ton of performance issues, but the load times... my god, sometimes a minute long, vs 0.5 seconds long on PC (specially after you disabled the animated load screens). And we're talking in between Normandy decks, so you're taking a load screen every few minutes repeatedly while doing your rounds of tlaking to everyone, upgrading gear, etc.

was there a creepypasta for Mass Effect 2?

and yeah, isn't the PC version of a multiplat game always the best version?

Well usually better in framerate, resolution, etc. Not always less buggy or anything.

UE 3.0 is weird in a lot of ways, but I never got the feeling that Bioware was a very good company from a technical point of view. Even their latest game has horrible load times on PC and shitty frame transitions and animations.
