Yep..I don't think Sony will have much luck with PS4 in Japan at least until next year when more companies start jumping ship to next gen...but I doubt they really care about that too much at the moment

My launch unit (Norway, november 29th) is still the only PS4 I have ever seen (disregarding other picking up theirs at release). Colleague still can't get one.
I agree. And I don't even think that TitanFall is going to help bail them out of trouble, especially when the game is also coming out on 360 & PC.

It should still sell a good amount there at launch, even if its longterm prospects are in question.
This is overall, not just North America. Overall for Xbox One is probably around 3.5 million.
Sony sold more PS4s outside of NA.

Yep, over 100K for sure (at least I hope so for MS) but definitely under 200k if the US only managed 141k.
Each PS4 is basically sold as soon as it's shipped right now, just use shipped vs shipped since there's not going to be Wii U sold numbers to draw from.

I am thinking their will sale out their launch,after that sales will slow down until maybe FF14 which I am not sure if that would do much.
Just have to wait and see I guess.
Thought it was the beginning of March. Wonder if they have ramped up production or if they are staying conservative. The demand has to go down sometime soon.

The momentum is amazing. It has to slow down soon. Although, there should be some good releases and announcements just around the time should begin to taper.

So if Sony has sold through 5.3 million and the USA total is around 2.27 million, can our European faithful stop complaining about having a lack of systems. Canada and Mexico will only represent around another 10 percent on top of the USA number, so this means Europe is getting about half of the shipment.

You're being awfully generous. The X1 sold 140k in NA, probably less than thay in the rest of the world. They're probably hovering around 3-3.2 million at best (it's been speculated that that 3 million figure was likely rounded up)
What's worse is that means there's a good 800k+ X1s sitting on shelves

Microsoft said that the xbox had sold 3.9 million(3 million sold through) in January right?.. The gap is becoming wider and wider.
I remember i said on Reddit that sales would be fairly close until 2014. Due to Sony's stock issues and MS having the XB1 highly available during Black friday and Chrsitmas. Then Sony would start widening the gap.. I got downvoted in to oblivion by angry xbox fans(i guess).

Reminds me of the DC/PS2 era all over again.
People won't know what they missed til it's too late.
But yea, good job Sony. You really dig your self out of the whole that was the PS3. Now if only they would release some exclusives that I want to play. I know they are comin... Bit when?
