also, if you havent, the rall dlc for horizon is fucking terrific. its still a bit on the expensive side, but i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED it.
The second one had a great atmosphere to it, and I loved the soundtrack. Although the same could be said for 3. I enjoyed 2 more though. Not only was it a solid game but its presentation reminded me of Burnout 3. Codemasters always seem to nail a sense of style with the menu and flow.
Two is an amazing game. It's one of my favorite Codemasters games alongside the GRID series and F1.
I also just really like the transitions alot from race back to the trailer. It's really awesome especially with the music that plays.
My favorite song from the Dirt 2 soundtrack.
Is 2 that lacking on the offroad/rally front, though? I mean, if it has more content I'm always more inclined towards it, but if it a significant amount of it isn't offroad stuff, I'll probably go for 3.

If you're playing on PC, navigate to audio\speech\en\ and rename the "en_generic.nfs" file. Then the game becomes blissfully serene.I'm playing Dirt 3 right now and it's phenomenal if you don't mind the...
...stuff.
Ok, just bought 2. Depending on how much I like I'll give the other 2 a spin, too, later. ^^
Thanks, GAF!
Repeat after me: DiRT: Showdown does not exist, DiRT: Showdown does not exist, DiRT: Showdown does not exist... You can fell yourself getting veeeeeeeeeery sleeeeeeeeepy.1 >> 2 >>> 3 >>>>> Showdown
Unfortunately it got worse and worse, saying that though the first two are still great and the third is alright.
First one, easily. Has variety in rally tracks and throws in a bunch of other fun actually rally related things (Rally Raid), and no annoying dudebro host in sight. You can also get an OG Xbox and buy Rallisport Challenge 2 and experience the superior game that inspired DiRT to be. It doesn't work on 360 BC, so yes buying a OG Xbox is needed.

Stap, get the first one. Seriously.

MS should really think about giving us a HD port of rsc2. such an amazing game. would probably look pretty great in a higher resolution too. i'm sad i have no way to play it again (OG xbox broke a loooong time ago)
