Sweet OT, makes me wonder if I should just end up getting the Xbox bundle instead of a ps4 for a while. I already really want to play Dead Rising 3 and although I don't prefer FPS on consoles, I might make an exception for Titanfall. /shrug

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
I'm really glad to hear that all the maps seem to be really good. I haven't watched any videos because I want to experience them for the first time myself when I get to play the game. Map design though is something that is absolutely integral to this game, so I'm glad that it seems that they got it right (15 times).

Cool, thanks.

Im unsure about it.
I know you can set it up on a road and do quite well, or even a titan chokepoint.. Should soak up quite a few actual bullets/anti titan rounds.
I assumed the arc and charge would do more to it because for reasons unknown in video games -electricity/plasma anything does more to shields lol.

I went back to back with a guy on my team earlier and we both popped our particle walls and just stayed there and dished it out until they ran out. It's a fun mechanic.

If Respawn/MS did everything right then there should be literally 0 problems. That's one of the real advantages when it comes to the "cloud" - scalability.

As long as the software is designed to scale that way then yea, the cloud is great. Game servers are a perfect fit.

I'd actually like to hear some stats on how many servers they turn up for launch day, how quickly new servers can be added to the pool and even how many physical servers MS has sitting in wait.

Pilot, your Titan is ready, prepare for Titanbombs
1) Earlier I checked some of the data such as the generation challenges and exp values.
They're mostly the same as what the BETA had:

2) In case anyone is interested, I've made an imgur album with all the map loading screens:

I've played the 'final' game on PC for about 2 hours. I'm Level 27.
I haven't been too pleased with the performance I'm getting but have had a lot of fun for the most part.

I'll admit, when I first heard that zip lines were going to be in the game I wasn't sure what to think. After seeing a couple of gifs/videos though I'm sold. Looks fun as hell.

Is your main issue with performance the frame rate or more stuff like screen tearing?
Just curious.

I'm actually getting excited for the launch, I had fun with the beta (PC) but no local Aus servers put me off. Might wait and see how my friends go with their pings before jumping... eh falling in.

Do it! And DR3 is awesome. For me personally it was the most fun and enjoyable DR.

I forgot to mention that I went to Walmart earlier and the Prima guide for Titanfall was already on the shelf. I flipped through it and it's just a ton of map strategy for different game types. The only interesting thing was the last few pages, which was basically a bunch of ads for Titanfall merch that's coming out. There was some stuff about PC peripherals, apparel, and... TITANFALL K'NEX.

The only complaint I have so far with regards to gameplay is the jump kicks. It really shouldn't be a one hit kill. The range on it is ridiculous. Reminds me of the commando bs from modern warfare 2.

Was so worth sitting in line for 6 hours. Still, it's insane they're not selling the game at the midnight launch party at austin, and I cancelled my gamestop collector's edition pre-order too D:

amazon and the microsoft look to be empty, any other online retailers have stock?

Been playing all day. Single shot rifle is amazing. Hope they don't reset the stats! Any word on that?

I would actually wear that shirt, I'm quite impressed. Unless there's a big TITANFALL on the back.

Can we talk about Titanfall PC performance here? I know not that many people are playing yet so it might be too early to discuss this.

I have a i7 CPU and a GTX 690 GPU. Very high specs, but it doesn't seem to be enough...

I tried running the game on max settings (except AA, no AA) at 2560x1600 and it runs around 60 fps when nothing is going on. But on certain maps when crazy moments occur with lots of action and explosions, etc. the game turns into a slide show for me. Very unstable FPS.

I feel like my PC should be able to handle this with pretty solid 60 fps considering the game isn't that visually impressive relative to other PC games. Is this due to mediocre optimization by Respawn? Or is this the type of thing that could be fixed or at least get substantially better with/when new and improved drivers being released? (Similar to Tomb Raider, etc I made sure I have the most recent drivers, so it's not that)

Or, maybe I'm just overestimating my PCs specs.... I dunno.

Either way I'm gonna have to turn down some settings. Probably try changing textures first from Insane -> High. I need that smooth and steady 60 fps.

My 750ti I running it pretty well but I am sure we will see a performance increase when drivers come out.

How much Vram does that 690 have? Insane textures need more than 2gb.

Game is amazing, and the new maps are great. Campaign on the PC is a little funny since it keeps repeating the first mission over and over for me.

I never played COD multiplayer and was wondering what the point is to prestiging or, in this case, going to the next generation. Is it the extra challenge? Bragging rights? The feeling of unlocking stuff? Really curious since I foresee myself playing Titanfall a lot in between my regular Planetside 2 sessions.

GTX 690 has 2GB of VRAM, even though Nvidia advertises it as 4.

Same as my 590 having 1.5GB, even though they advertise 3GB.

I still think people place too much importance on VRAM, though. No reason a $1,000 GPU shouldn't be able to run the Insane textures, 3GB of VRAM or no.

He's running at high resolutions as well, so VRAM becomes more important. It is known that the textures do need 3GB vram, so it is a bottleneck.

I'm sure that things will run better with new drivers though (not with insane textures though).
