Crazy Taxi is currently free(?) on ios

Dash Kappei

Not actually that important
Thanks man, stolen your info on my twitter if you don't mind.

Btw, no ads nor IAPs.
It's nothing like how they've turned HotD Overkill into f2p crap.

Thanks, OP.
Downloaded it, played it for a bit.
Runs perfectly smooth. Controls aren't perfect but okay.

How do I Crazy Dash?

I still think I broke some kind of record on the GameCube version when I played the Arcade Mode for what felt like 4 hours straight.

I sucked six dicks to get this tag.
Damn the game runs at 30fps on a 4s :(. Even the PSP version ran at 60fps(at least if you had cfw and had it clocked to 333mhz). It also had mp3 support so even though no og soundtrack you could download the og soundtrack and play them in the game. Plus better controls of course.

Oh well at least I got to try the iOS port for free. Thanks for letting me know OP.

Gonna stick to the dreamcast/nulldc and psp version.

The app page says that it doesn't support iPod Touch gen 4 (but it doesn't say that gen 3 is unsupported so maybe it's a typo). I'll download it anyway just so I can have it.

Weird that this version has the original music but none of the other versions do.

EDIT: Actually, it seems to work fine on my iPod Touch.

I have so many great memories playing this on my Dreamcast. It was all about performing those crazy drifts and crazy boosts to skim valuable seconds off your time. Shame I don't have an iOS device at the moment to play this.

Just played a couple rounds. This is such a great game. I wonder why they released this free with no IAP's. If you have downloaded this yet you are doing yourself a disservice.

May I have a cookie?
I can't believe Nintendo didn't commission a Crazy Taxi game for Wii. It is such a perfect fit for everything the console was about!

But then again so were many other Sega IPs from the Dreamcast era (typing of the dead, space channel 5, etc )..

Congratulations, you really deserve it!
I never understood what people liked about this game. I got it for dreamcast and played about three times before getting bored.

It's meant to be played at the arcade

Erm, it's just as much fun on Dreamcast (or anything with a controller, really). The problem with the Dreamcast version is that it had other modes besides Arcade, without the rush of the time limit the game does indeed get boring quick.

Once you play it on the arcade mode and try to fine tune your runs, it starts to get fun.

I'm not in wi-fi range. Is it possible to start the download to show I "bought" it and then cancel the download until I got home? Just in case this was a mistake.
