I looked very closely and couldn't see what was the impressive stuff other than the water since I knew what Tessellations were.

Seeing the screenshots i retract my coment from earlier. Looks downgraded still, nothing groundbreaking.

Will wait and see, can't trust reviewers so I will wait till about a month after release see if people here like it.

Here we go with the endless posting of screencaps from that terrible video player. Might as well draw it in MS Paint.

I agree except I think texture resolution will be the same, Consoles have alot of ram that can be turned into VRAM
I don't doubt they have enough memory space, it's more about shifting a larger amount of data all the time, but there's other things factoring into performance and the load a game will put on the hardware.

Downgrade confirmed.

Looks nothing like what we saw in 2012.

Looks okay graphically, nothing to shout home about but it gets the job done. Looking forward to exploring that world.

Came here expecting to be impressed, leaving disappointed. Downgrades are clear for all to see. Looks nothing like e3 2012. Will wait till its less than $20.

I don't get y'all at all. I'm outta these terrible threads

What I have learned from GAF is people will get hyped/ buy a game if its pretty enough for full price.

If its not, its bargain bin.

I need to avoid these watch dogs threads, since the comments are essentially this.

Graphics was all watch dogs had going for it, when it looked pretty I was interested. But now, because it doesn't look as pretty, I don't want it since its a ubisoft game, therefore it is not going to have good gameplay. I'll buy when its cheap.

The initial reactions and chest pounding some had when they assumed the features were PC only was amazing. Lost interest in the game since the reveal to be honest.

Technically impressive video. Shame that the video player isn't helping. Will wait for a better/non-compressed video before I'll judge the graphics.

What is going on with this game.

I really hope pc modding takes off with this game, I'd love to play it looking like this some time in the future. Skyrim is still kicking as one of the best graphical games due to the modders. Going back to Witcher 2 is kinda jarring with it's bad use of effects by comparison. I wonder if W2 was modded with new abilities and updated textures (starts hunting google).

Skyrim is one of my most played games, and I think it's gameplay is horrible. I really don't like the assassin creed games and this looks like modern AC, but dem graphics from the first trailer.

It's a shame that people's excitement for Watch Dogs is purely based on graphical quality. Am I the only one still intrigued by the game's premise?

It's an Ubi open world game. If there's anything to do besides the monotonous collecting of items, then it'll be a pleasant surprise for a lot of folks. I can't blame people for focusing on graphics since their track record with open world gameplay hasn't been all that amazing.

I hardly ever see anyone mentioning the grass from videos. I'm kinda shocked how good/full it looks. Like, no open world modern city has made it look that good to my knowledge.

Yeah, the density and coverage of the grass really does look quite impressive.

It'll probably look like that on a rainy night on pc even without modding, but hey, what do I know...

Its a shame there is no realtime reflections of NPC's and vehicles ala infamous. It really grounds everything and makes them appear a part of the world. All the NPC's look a bit...floaty? Without it.

Still nothing close to the reveal. and it looks even worse on consoles. Still an easy pass. Especially given how "eh" the gameplay looks as well.

Rain + reflections = eye gasm. It's pretty much half the reason why Infamous: SS is so widely praised for its visuals. But it's misleading, to be fair. Because minus those two elements no one would give that shot a second glance.

Dont even wanna touch this game now that we know that unless you got som serious gaming comp hardware, its gonna look nowhere as good as we were led to believe. will wait for price drop.

Looks great. Moving trees and wind are back in full force and the timelapse looked great.

Those who are saying there are no shadows on NPC's... Did you even watch the video?

Guess we'll need to wait till it releases to do some direct comparisons with the e3 2012 demo.

Pretty much a day 1 purchase for me on the PC after seeing this and the announcement of the cockpit view.

Yeah, you could be right. I wish they'd show more night and rain, the nights usually look the best. I still would like this game to blow on the modding scene too. I hope it's not too protected due to the online features.

The game shown in 2012 was running on a GTX 680. I would say that's reasonable. Or are you expecting a console to perform similarly?

Haha I love how three guys in a row all have red beanies in their avatars and are trying to downplay Watch Dogs. I wonder why that is...

Pointing out how these aren't PC exclusive features is downplaying Watch Dogs now? Was this a real post submitted to NeoGAF.com friend?

Nowhere close to that 2012 footage even if we consider compression due to that player. Ubisoft can't do shit. Will wait for Steam sale.
