J Jonah Jameson is in the scene. Unknown actor, according to wiki.
Likely improv'd on set as well.
Just watched it, You didnt lie it was great. A proper Supehero movie. I much prefer Garfield to Tobey. Garfield acts more like I imagine Spiderman would, he's cocky he's confident but kind(he helps a little kid being bullied). You could see why the bad guys hate him and everyone else likes him.
In amongst all the chaos he has a mind to save loads of people in the almost impossible of situations. The action was great you really feel like your swinging with him at some points, its very balletic and effortless. Its not all about punching some bad guys head in. They didnt contrive some way to take his mask off in the middle of battle.
The quiet moments were good too. Good chemistry, very naturalistic and relaxed between the actors.
There are some contrivances and disappointments but nothing really major that ruins the movie.
I used to like the first Tobey Spiderman movie not anymore, this Spiderman is pretty amazing and my favourite Spiderman movie.
Here's hoping there is less romance crap.
The love story will likely be front and center, but they're probably out of their nervous stage.
This isn't out in North America till May 1? God damn.
To Raimi fans the train scene in SM2 is heart but the crane scene in ASM was the worst thing to ever be on film. They are both the same type of event. I didn't care for either and I the redeeming part of the subway scene was how Dr. Octopus just pushed them all to one side.
ASM > SM2 > SM1 >>>>>>SM3.
I actually like Spider-Man to behave like Spider-Man.
And Peter Parker to be a nerdy high school student who happen to be a 6'1" male model, who acts all brooding all while doing his sick skateboarding moves.
And nothing say's Spider-Man than having all his fights be in CG!
Yeah!
The dad returning was silly though, they tried to do this full circle thing with SM saving his son and him helping SM, but it felt so imposed and kind of takes away from that nice moment on the bridge lol. Not everyone needs to be an important plot device!
Well that's unexpected. Cool of them to do that though.
I get what you're saying. I just took the scene in general. It was uplifting, had great music, excellent cinematography. I didn't sit there and dwell about that one particular element especially as it's not some work of non-fiction. If I were to apply that logic to other superhero movies I would think they're all horrible.

Can't wait to hear how cunty Spider-Man is in this one.
Should I watch this or Winter Soldier?
Exactly my issue with the first one. Edgy, skateboardin', rebellious and snarky Peter Parker is really off-putting
Both.
Both.
I agree, I think TASM had some great shots. A lot of stuff at night, yet the colors jumped. Not a lot of people can do that well (I think this cinematographer is also working on the new Jurassic Park?) The understanding of lighting deserves a mention too.
I can only watch one this week, the other will have to wait.
Also, 2D or 3D?

I know that. It's why the scene in Spider-man movie doesn't make sense. Its been like that in the comics for fifty fuckin' years
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
Somewhere in this, I believe there is a really great film trapped inside but that might be hard to notice during some scenes that felt like they were ripped out of a Michael Bay film. Don't get me wrong, I had fun and enjoyed this film but I felt like it had wasted its potential to have been something really special. It does feel like a literal comic book come to life and the cinematography with its range of bright pop colours give it a unique look to that of many other films from this genre. Once again Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone steal the show with their stunning onscreen chemistry together. Dane DeHaan plays a great Harry despite the limited material and screen time given to him. It's here that I have the biggest problem with the film, in which everything felt so rushed and there was no time given to fully explore these characters and relationships. Harry's transformation from friend to villain was laughably too quick and should have been saved for the third film). Electro should have been given the spotlight as the main villain (not just playing Urkel) and Peter's relationship with Harry/Gwen should have been given more time to be developed.just like Gwen's Death (which surprised me as I was sure they were going to do it in the next one

That's the main way to do Spiderman right. He doesn't really move in a way that's practical for even the best stuntmen. You're also ignoring all of the stunt work they actually DID do in the movie.
And Parker has been an attractive white male in the past.
Are you drunk?

Oh god... lmaoThe Lizard was bad but boy... they really nailed Killer Croc!
IE Spidey swinging between components of a truck for fun.
Peter Parker according to my Marvel comic card is 5'11. He's not short and ugly. He married a super model. I didn't like the hipster aspect but it beats the Toby face
Why does every movie come out in NA later. ;_;
Tobey Maguire actually passed off for a geeky teen who get pushed around in High School.
In ASM, it was laughably bad.
CGI uses for certain scenes were also secondary to the actual actors performing actual scenes (the end fight between Goblin & Spider-Man was perfect), which did not exist in ASM, since the Lizard was all CGI.
This man knows what's up.Will see it for blonde Emma Stone. You have no idea what she does for me.
How do you have a giant lizard that isn't cgi? Peter Parker isn't pushed around much in the books. Toby is awful
TBH, I prefer that over Raimi's weepy bitch.
You guys do realize Manabyte is trolling you right?
