NPD Sales Results for March 2014 [Up4: FFX/X-2 HD]

Why is anyone honestly surprised? We hardcore gamers give casual waaaaaay less credit then they deserve, they can do a quick google search and see which platform is getting the better versions and which is more powerful, they're not sheep to marketing. 360 had better multiplat versions of games 95% of time, casual fans knew that

You can scratch quantum break, sunset overdrive, tier two countris, Halo 2 HD, and halo tv series off, they will not do anything.

So a whole of 60K for the month. This fall is going to be very interesting come price drop time. A bit surprising on that Titanfall Infamous split. Though the gap in the US can't be all that much taking account what we have seen so far.

I passed on Dark Souls 2 for 360. A pass on the game of last gen for me in hopes it will come to X1. Not looking back once as I always do.

It's over, period. Microsoft lost their last ace, and that's the end of their Xbox One hopes and dreams.

It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for Xbox One. Microsoft has nothing left, nothing they can reveal tomorrow would fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for any one, hardcore or casual, to substantively invest in a Xbox One. Except if they want to play Titanfall. Which will also come to PS4 at some point.

Sony took the last reason away that anyone would NEED to own a Xbox One over a PS4 (except TV SPORTS KINECT LOL GAMING), and the cavalcade of tiny titles that will be nice but won't stir up any sales is not going to salvage the bloated, overdesigned behemoth that was Xbox One.

There may be some hardcore gamer's that stick around. Some did it for Gamecube. But the last bell tolled. Maybe next decade.

The age of Microsoft is done.

lol, love it

Dark Souls 2 roughly flat with Dark Souls. Not bad, considering the decline other franchises have seen.

Actually really good I think, Alt. Considering the hardcore migration to next-gen, means people either stuck around to play this game in particular or there was real organic growth to replace the flops. Seems good.

not if it was a timed exclusive, money talks man, and MS has the funds to do so.
Back when Microsoft was really aggressive with beating Sony all they got was a timed DLC exclusive. That's the most I can see happening again unless someone's being stupid or a fucker.

Well, there was the console preference for development, but the PS3 was legendary for being hard to develop for so that's probably not something you needed MONEY for, and would be a lame advantage here.

Anyone find it odd that software sales were down 28% year over year with Titanfall, Infamous, Dark Souls 2, Metal Gear, plants vs zombies, etc releasing?

I am actually quite shocked the PS4 outsold the XB1 given Titanfall.

Definitely not a good sign for the Microsoft gaming division.

Oh look, Steve dragging out his racism and anti-semitism and lookism and weightism again. You should see the things he says about the OTHER persona characters.

I was expecting titanfall to do mgs4 bundle type numbers. I was mistaken. I think ps3 was the same price then too.

Eh didn't it do that. It surely sold around a million in US at least this month since it sold twice that of Infamous and that's ahead of DSII which was 350k.In regards to XB1 itself you'd be correct.
