You can do it with one controller too. Just did 'switch user' from the power menu to change to my US account, and my UK account stayed logged in. Then I switched back.

Preparing to install takes so long. Game updates skip straight to installing but these system updates seem to take 5 minutes preparing before they are ready for me.

And I'm sure they go through multiple checksum tests before installing. Imagine broken files due to various connection problems bricking consoles. It would be thousands of people.

What I do is when 'preparing to install" comes up after downloading the firmware, I go back to the Live area and launch the PS Store, a screen will pop up saying you need to update your firmware, then chose 'install firmware' ( since it has been already downloaded) and it will install.

Yeah, I still have my Soldner X-2 avatar for PSN.

Also I tried setting resolution to 720p because sometimes that helps, didn't work. This is very odd. I also tried messing with the limited/full color options, didn't work either.

I just wanna use my capture card, damn.

I don't think that's very wise. As FeiRR posted it's probably verifying the file is correctly downloaded, you might be tricking it to bypass that verification.

The USB one I'd say.
The file size is smaller than the one I uploaded via the messaging trick (dunno why) but there's definitely a difference. Don't think I messed up somewhere when uploading the first pic (to have unintentionally caused the difference myself) but I'll have to try comparing some of my other screenshots later just to make sure it's not just this one pic.

I have an Avermedia H727 and an AverMedia Game capture HD II
the H727 worked fine as soon as hdcp was turned off, but the game capture hd II displayed a black screen until i rebooted the ps4, then it worked fine.

This update has fixed the issue where previews for screens would not display, instead with a black screen. Woohoo!

Love that there is a "Capture Gallery" icon on the main grid now, going through each screen is a lot quicker than before too.

Yeah, I've rebooted twice, still a black screen. Bleh.

Trying out ShareFactory. How do you make the stickers temporary? When I place them on my clip they seem to stick until the end. :S

Not testing out Sharefactory until we get youtube uploading. C'mon already, Sony.

All in all, decent update. Now focus on the non-sharing stuff plz.

ok I just did another test on the 15 min share bug. played BF4 for about 25 minutes and hit Share, finally! the LAST 15 minutes were saved correctly. I'm going to try again tomorrow with a longer 2+ hour session.

Some people have a receiver which supports 7.1 but only have 5.1 speakers plugged in. Some of those people had issues where the PS4 would still send a 7.1 signal out even though not all of this speakers were plugged in, so they wouldn't hear all the audio. This just forces the PS4 to only send a 5.1 signal.

Well, Paypal doesn't work (EU account to transfer funds to US PSN). So stupid but was expected.

Back to buying Amazon US PSN cards...

And good job letting you use the touchpad to navigate the virtual keyboard but not enable it to control your mouse pointer :/

HDMI to DVI output (PS4 to monitor) now plays Blu-ray Discs in full definition, no more sd playback due to HDCP issues.


Nice one Sony.
