I do not understand the draw of this event. It's a press conference. What is the point of watching it in a theater?

That's pretty much how I feel about this new fade of broadcasting live events like concerts in theaters, and they charge for those.

Went to see a Rifftrax Live show at a theater here in Denver a year or so ago, it was alright, but honestly, I would never pay money to do it again.

I can't imagine how funny this would have been if Sony made this the last year. With the price and DRM bombs and then kinda awkward when people would start crying in theaters when the KH3 trailer showed up

To be entertained by a feature film that has a storyline and actors I enjoy. This is announcements of games. To each their own, I guess. I hope all that go end up having a good time. Just not my thing.

People go watch events (and not just movies) on the big screen as well. Again, not for you but the possibility that there is a market segment for it and is actually viable (this will probably be fully booked) is something not hard to get your mind around.

I think it says something that the negativity in this thread is at an all time low almost. Normal people are normal people too guys. You say all the gamer stereotypes, but aren't you one (a person who plays games and is excited about E3) too? I've wasted many more hours of my life doing other things I didn't want to do or wasn't interested in.
