Can't figure out how to get rid of the HUD entirely even with all the settings in the xml to 0. When I pull out the phone for example everything turns on the instant I hit the button so I can't get a clean DoF shot.

I assume you Watch Dogs guys are downsapmling, but is there an effective AA method? I have the praised Temporal SMAA turned on, but there are jaggies EVERYWHERE. To the point, that it's very distracting.

Is that a problem on my side?

I'm pretty sure SMAA only gets so much praise because it's a really effective post-processing AA method - it's way better than FXAA. It's still post-processing, however, so it can only do so much. If you really want to get rid of jaggies and crawling you'll need to downsample or use TXAA.

I personally prefer MSAA over TXAA because it doesn't blur the image, but it also doens't work on any alpha textures, so there will still be a lot of crawling if you use it.

With SweetFX.

Would you mind uploading the settings for what you used?

I had the same - I had to turn on SuperSampling in the watchdogs settings file. (just involves finding the file, finding the supersampling line and changing the 0 to a 1. Bit of a performance hit but less than I expected. Obviously the higher res you go the less chance you can use this, but it sorts it out and very playable for me. I dropped my res to 1600x1024 - I can play fine at 1920x1200, but to get it closer to locked 60 at all day/night times - I bring it down and turn on ss.

I have shadows set to high as well.

Apologies for the texture quality, but these are gameplay shots. Everything maxed except textures and LOD, which are on High, and downsampled from 1440p.

I've been digging your Wolfenstein shots a lot. Keep 'em coming.

You are testing my reserve. I'm trying to get through my backlog before buying this!

Thanks gents.

I like what they did with the lighting and coloring. Some good art direction overall throughout the game, though ymmv.

If I may real quickly get into some more technical stuff. With 3264x2040 downsampling and 16xAA, the game turns into a slideshow on my end. Otherwise, framerate is pretty decent.

2040p downsampling+16xAA (1-5FPS)

2040p downsampling, AA disabled (50-60fps)

16xAA introduces a slight black edge glitch, you can see it around the edges of his fingers.

Edit: Excellent Syndicate and Remember Me shots from everyone.

How the hell are you guys getting Wolfenstein to downsample properly?

I'm pretty sure I have all of the settings correct on the Nvidia Control Panel and I have had no problem downsampling other games.

For Wolfenstein, it just blows up the image. I tried setting the resolution ont the Control Panel before starting the game but no luck.

Not to mention the lack of reflections makes the skin look slightly different.
Good eye, I did not notice that. But beleive it or not I also had reflections disabled in the no aa shot, as well. But yeah, going into it a little bit more, discovered that enabling AA disables reflections. But enabling reflections seems to introduce some glitched/broken shadows (edit: am not sure if broken shadows in reflections is just a problem on my end):

Not sure what may be causing the problem for you. A scaling issue, perhaps? These are the scaling options am using:

I have Wolfenstein on PS4.

This page convinced me to get it on PC.
Quick fyi, I have read that people are having problems with texture pop-in on PC, similar to Rage. But on my end, am getting zero to very little pop in. It's a nice improvement for me over Rage before cfg tweaks.

Right. I also am aware that there is no SLI support in the game, which is why I went with the PS4 version in the first place. But I have since got a 4k monitor and feel like this would look pretty great on it.
