Yeah, this game is never coming out. Even if it does, fuck it - I'm out. This was their deadline and they missed it. It may not currently be cancelled, and I guess their happy to keep stringing us along, but there's no way it'll ever end up being the game I once hoped it would be.

Put a fork in it, it's done.

The original plan seemed much more ambitious. They were talking about how Toriko would react like a wild animal and that you'd have to figure out ways to coax the behavior you wanted out of it. It was also very integral to gameplay in a way that makes it easy to see how Toriko not working properly with the PS3's limitations could have tanked the entire thing and forced it onto PS4.

I think if they were going to cancel it, they'd have just done it. I'm sure the earlier rumors of production having shut down previously are probably accurate, so God knows how long the game has actually been in development and by how many people.

It was much, much more than that. The creature was supposed to be totally independent, and you as the player were simply trying your best to get it to help you in all sorts of situations as it stomped around being all lively and inquisitive. That's a hard enough task, but I'm guessing Ueda's crazy perfectionist tendencies and high value on weighty and lifelike animations made for a ton of difficulties on top of that.

Who even knows what's been happening since then. I could tell from Jack Tretton's reaction pre-Sony conference that it wouldn't be there though. He was laughing like "LOL YEAH RIGHT THAT GAME, CALL ME WHEN IT HAPPENS"

Like someone else said, easier to have people believe it exists and let them keep buying PS3s and PS4s as (hilarious) investments.

Define your own hope, and you'll come to a much saner conclusion.

What's with the title change? Just because some people are disappointed it wasn't shown at E3, when it was obvious it wouldn't be?

It's clear that the development had a lot of bumps, and not much progress was made. But NOW it is in development, as was stated before E3. They just don't have anything to show that would tell us it's an amazing game, which is why they held off. If they showed us something half-assed, the disappointment would have been much greater, but Sony is bidding their time and giving TLG time to grow until it is something that can be presented to blow our socks off.

Yeah I was like IT COULD ONLY BE TLG! and then the ND logo appeared and I though WTF? A NEW ND GAME? CRASH? but then I remembered they had not shown Uncharted 4 yet.

Could teaser though.

Damn, and I wonder why there are so many atheists. We are getting info from dozens of people that the game is in-development and yet people keep ******* about it that it is not real, just a few days ago too we got another confirmation.

If you don't want to play the game, then fine, but don't come here screaming like a kid "It doesn't exist, it ain't happenin.", you just make yourself look dumb. They will announce it when the feel like it, it is their game and their responsibility.
