How do I get the 5$ PSN ? It said on the page the code was for that but it only said I'd get an e-mail forthe Destiny Alpha and Battlefield Beta

People in Nashville lost their shit during Mortal Kombat gameplay. Id say that, LBP3 and Bloodborne got the most reactions.

People were legit surprised that the game looked anywhere close to the trailer released a few days ago.

While I have some reservations about MK10, some made a little worse by the gameplay trailer shown, I think that game is gonna go places. I yelled out, "WHO RUNS BARTER TOWN?!?", but no one got the reference. I think that makes me old

I noticed that too. I think it being so abrupt helped, the logo just popped onto the screen with no warning.

"OH GOD LOOK HOW FUCKING CUTE IT IS!!!"

Toronto showing was brutal. I love my gaming brethren, but the smell wafting from the theater after and some of the over-blown commentary and yelling during the showing was just too much.

Never again.

"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH"

Seriously though, people weren't amazed or anything. By far the biggest reaction of the night was Little Big Planet 3.

When someone gets the email, can someone toss the URL for the page where you punch in your code? I have no idea where to enter this thing.

Not in my theater. People were howling.

where'd you get this 5$ voucher from??

when I entered my code all I got was

"Thank you! An email with your Destiny First Look Alpha code will be sent on 6/12, and an email with your Battlefield: Hardline Beta code will be sent on 6/16."

only got a promo poster...if you can even call it that...no shirt or wristband for me in nyc.

I left at 11:10 when it was supposed to end at 1130 so maybe i missed out due to that. nbd to be honest though
"Thank you for attending the PlayStation® E3 Experience. Please register below by 11:59PM PT on 6/10/2014 to redeem your gifts. Your digital gift basket will include a Destiny First Look Alpha Code on June 12, a Battlefield: Hardline Beta Code on June 16, and a $5 PSN Voucher and 30 Day Music Unlimited Trial on June 18."

The smell was tolerable, but it was the humidity and lack of ventilation that was terrible. Honestly I think that's the theaters fault more than the people.

As for the yelling out, why did you go? That's the whole point of these things, to cheer out, applaud and be excited with fellow gamers during the biggest gaming event of the year. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Ran into another gaf member who was cool. The video quality was very very good, and also 60fps. And to top it off I get beta codes and whatnot.

AZGAF did well. Theater wasn't quite full, good crowd, good energy. They were amped at the correct moments(MKX,UC4,LBP3,AK, and a few others) Seemed everyone treated it as an event, no one was messing with their phones, the chatter wasn't bad. The stream was a bit laggy at first, but it worked itself out. Mega stoked for No Man's Sky. We just got the lanyard on the way in, and a poster on the way out. I would definitely do this again, was fun with a group. See you in the alpha!

Edit: Was nice when Reddit and Neogaf got the shout out, seemed Neogaf was out in force!

It was definitely dank and rowdy, haha.

I will confess to my bros and I howling a little at a couple of moments - the brutal MK trailer and some of the FarCry 4 demo - but it's a theater full of excited fans. To be expected.

There was one dude right in the middle of the theater who read every single word on the screen aloud. Whether it was a title, a subtitle, a quote, ANYTHING. He fucking screamed it aloud. It was hilarious and terrible.

I am making a note of all the miami gaffers who took all the tickets before I could get one. Damn you! :p Sounded like a great time, wish i was there.

It was great fun in the ATL showing. Got to meet a few cool gaffers, although due to shit service in the theatre, could not connect with two others. Next time guys. Was definitely fun.

Think all four parts of the digital package will be sent separately? That is, can I part with my BF beta code and still keep my $5 PSN/Destiny Alpha code?

didn't it say that the BF and Destiny codes are shipped on different days?
so i figured it would be different codes

so, no information regarding new updates?
no renaming psn-account?
well...

Not sure this is the place for those types of updates, although they would be very welcomed. Maybe a blog post type update for that kind of stuff. Not really sure how Sony handles stuff like that. I was quietly hoping there would be a media server type patch mention before Andrew started talking about Powers.

Yeah, the email mentions different codes on different days, so I'm expecting 4 codes(Music, Destiny, BFH, and the 5$PSN)

Yeah, Columbus is not looking good for stand-by. Darn, who would've thought people would show up for the event they signed up for?

I made it in! I was pretty much the last person in, because I didn't realize even the secondary line was still an official waiting list. After both lines had completely cleared, and the conference was just starting, I pointed out that if the ticket I had hadn't checked in (Thank you again Remark!), they weren't going to. They agreed, and I got in just as the first game (Destiny I think) started.

Yep, now I'm sad :( It was a fun time minus the glitches and some Jerry Springer argument in the back. Pretty good conference.

The event went as well as could be expected. I will have to think about doing it again, though. The nostrildamus stereotype totally held true, and that was not cool. Not. Cool.

At any rate, since I'm already in the PC Hardline Beta, I'll give away my PS4 code when it arrives.

It wasn't that bad. Better than a theatre full of people sitting on their hands.

Want to know the worst part? The theater wasn't full. There was plenty of space even though it had "sold out".

If they are I don't have a PS4 so I will give out my beta codes. Will gladly take the $5 psn voucher though.

I was at the showing as well. Great crowd but yeah at the end I started to smell something funky...

I found 99% of the commentary from audience to be appropriate. The only time it was odd was when everyone booed for two seconds after seeing 2015 from the From Software game.

Also as the crowd sat through most of the after show in Toronto but when Battlefield Hardline came up and Geoff hinted the code given was for that beta 20 or so people, including myself, got up and left.

Such a goddamn awful experience. Stream was awful and kept breaking up. The swag was beyond shit. the lanyard and that awful fucking poster. If they do it again I won't be going again.

Hey, DC GAF is in the building! Well at least three of us.

Yeah I'm disappointed at DC-Gaf as well... At least it was three of us... It was fun.

imrblankie's comments were gold and spot on.

And I made a deal wtih Rollo. We agreed that he would get Far Cry 4, and I would play with him in co-op, because you can play with friends in co-op even if you don't own the game.

But no Last Guardian... :(

Oh Sony... :'(

That argument in the middle was quite odd. Wasn't even sure what was going on. It did make the worst part of Sony's conference interesting though.

It wasn't a bad experience and glad you could get in for the start.

Yeah, Little Big Planet 3 got a huge reaction at my theater. People were laughing their asses off.

That along with Batman and Uncharted 4 were probably my personal highlights of the night. A+ conference in my book.

To those wondering about the $5 PSN code. Don't worry. You will be emailed the code on Monday, June 16th.

Wait, did you go to the Chicago one? Because I distinctly remember hearing someone yell Barter Town.

Yeah, still bummed about that. Next time for sure.

The show was great though. Just seeing all the games on the big screen was incredible, and hearing the crowd's reactions to each game made the atmosphere really positive and memorable (I was surprised at how many people in theatre lost their shit over LBP3). If any of the big three do this again in the future, I'm there.

I may have missed it in the thread but what was included in the 'extra 30 mins' of game footage? Was it something exclusive or just like a pre show thing that others could also watch?

Interviews with the creators of Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky, Order 1886, and Batman: Arkham Knight. Some cool info and insight into the games. Not sure if they showed any exclusive footage.

ATL show was good. Got there pretty early and there was already a line to check in. Waited in that line for 15 minutes, got checked in, and was told to wait outside in another line. Waited in that line until 8:50 or so, then they piled us in. Got good seats. Same satellite issues everyone else had, but at least they didn't interrupt any totally important parts.

I wasn't expecting much in terms of gifts or whatever, and the event was free, so you won't see me complaining about them. They were handing out the additional lanyards, but they ran out before I got to the table. When I got there, the lady told me to take as many posters as I wanted, because they would just be thrown out at the end. I took like 10 because why not. No t-shirts or wristbands at my theater, none that I saw anyway. Lots of people, good turn out. Good crowd. Cheered, and it felt like it was something special.

I'd go again if they repeated it in the future. It was fun to watch with a bunch of other fans around.

Awesome experience here in Buffalo.
Bitter person complaint : Why does everyone clap? This was worse then the end credits for Marvel movies. No one tucking hears you. Excited yells I get, clapping I don't.

Everyone else in the theater hears you. People clap to show enthusiasm, we knows Adam Boyes isn't going to hear us clapping 2,500 miles away. And it makes way more sense than a movie since it's a live event.

The gifts were not very good; but hey, they were free so can't really complain...not too much anyway.

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with the hygiene of some of my fellow gamers. Granted, the majority of people were indeed well groomed and hygienic, but some folks were smelling like straight booty and some folks's mouths/teeth smelled like they hadn't been washed or brushed in over a decade. It smelled awful in the theater, though you probably couldn't really tell if you were in the room the whole time. It was when I stepped out to go the restroom and when I returned to the theater that the wall of BO hit me like a ton of bricks.

The video chugged a bit at the beginning and a few times in the middle of the conference, but it wasn't too bad. Most of the conference was smooth as butter; though I did think that the picture was a tad bit too dark.

It was a fun overall experience though, and I'm glad I attended. The crowd was rowdy at times and it was just awesome being in the same room with many like-minded people.

If this ends up being a trend, I'll be there again next year.
