I know there are a bunch of C&H fans (like me) on here and this is actually pretty well done.

Sorry, but nope.

If it's not Watterson it's not Calvin and Hobbes. Even those drawings of an adult Calvin giving away Hobbes to his kid rub me the wrong way.

Not to say they're not coming from a good place, it just doesn't work for me.

And sorry again, but this one is especially schmaltzy and cringy in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of people trying to write their own little sequels to Calvin and Hobbies. It honestly seems a bit arrogant. But they can write their fanfictions. I don't know why I should care. I'll just read the real stuff and let them have their fun.

At least calling the kid Francis is better than the stupid one that named it Bacon.

No. Calvin will forever be young in my mind.

Edit: Decided to read it fully, and if the idea of an old, dieing Calvin wasn't bad, the rest sure is.

Jesus christ OP. You imply that Watterson is coming back for one last hurrah with Calvin and Hobbes with your thread title and then you hit us with a cheesy ass fan fic? What the hell's wrong with you?

A crap ending nobody asked for. You shouldn't have.

You wanna jerk tears and your dick at the same time, father a porn star. Don't wipe your ass with greatness and show me the toilet paper like you did something special.

This will do. This will do quite nicely.

Sorry all, I enjoyed it. I've been a huge fan most of my life.

As I get older, I think a lot about death and it scares the heck out of me. Stuff like this brings me a little solace, no malice intended.

Finally, the closure that I've been waiting all these years! I don't blame Watterson for not being able to wrap the series up in a reasonable way, he simply didn't have the courage or the talent to write such a great ending. I'm sure he's super grateful that someone finally ended his shame and fixed his mistake.

Without even needing to draw anything!

It's cool, I saw it on Imgur a few days ago and read the whole thing and it brought a bit of an eyeroll but nothing more. If you find solace in the emptiness of death via Calvin and Hobbes I won't begrudge you.

You gotta admit though it's very cliched.

I get it, and if it brings you solace there's not a thing wrong with it. For me the original work is sacred stuff, so any addition or alteration feels cheap.

but at the end of the day, it's whatever gets you through the night. Keep rockin.

Those adult ones where Calvin gives Hobbes to his daughter are infinitely better, and you know, they're an actual comic that imitates Watterson's style pretty damn well. This is just trying too hard.

When you reach perfection (or get close to it as Watterson did) it's better to leave things as they are bud.

Those are terrible too.

The ritalin one is still one of the worst.

Eh, don't sweat it. Although I personally find it bad, some are overreacting. No one is actually angry.

I preferred that fan tribute that was on Clickhole as far as closure for the series goes.

^ SERIOUSLY NSFW.

But this pisses me off. DON'T CLICK ON THAT LINK. Why would you link that? Are we even allowed to link porn here? Didn't watch the video but from the video image it definitely seems like it will be porn.
