I'm sure the studio will get better with experience and it's not like we don't run into gulfs between talent in 2D animation on TV either.

Mobile Fighter G Gundam 12

This continues to be formulaic and boring.

Also apparently headband cloth can beat up and destroy gundams. So that's a thing. Don't know how much more of this BS I can take. I am not a fan of mech anime to begin with Gundam Wing and TTGL being the exceptions. This is not connecting with me at all.

The only series I paid over $100 was the first season of Minami-ke and that was an import. Everything else has been around or under $45. I wish I had been more aware of anime years ago so I could have owned those amazing Geneon/Pioneer and Bandai sets instead of these barebones releases today.

What a fantastic start to this episode! (OH YEAH!) All of the characters interact with each other in funny and interesting ways. Makoto continues to be the best male lead in any anime I've ever seen. He is thoughtful, passionate and caring to others. Who wouldn't want to be this guy's girlfriend? However, he's not always doing the right thing but Sekai manages to set him straight. She is the shining angel that will guide us through the dark times ahead.

  • Great setting.
  • Wish the framerate wasn't so jank. Some cuts look so smooth only to be followed by somethign that feels like I'm playing Crysis on an old computer.
  • Some of the character designs didn't translate too well like the old protestor. The bear gets a pass for being a bear.
  • Goofy animeisms like the MC in interrogation or his Lupin-esque fall into the rice bin were far more distracting than endearing.
  • OP mentions the title in the song so it passes one step of the Jexhius Quality Anime Test.

That's not even from G Gundam, lol. It's from Gundam Build Fighters, which pays homage to the legacy of G Gundam.

The most I spent on animu was the madoka rebellion movie which was about $95 I believe. Although that's probably going to be passed up due to that ping pong set. If only it included english subtitles, but it's still a really nice set.

Like I said I am not a big mech fan. Only very few mech shows have interested me. But if you're gonna do a mech show at least make the fights interesting right off the bat and not 20 episodes into it. That's one thing both Wing and TTGL did right.

I may not understand the majority of the dialogue from my imported BDs due to the lack of English subs, but I still enjoy them. Definitely have superior video quality over domestic BDs.

You might like Eureka Seven. It's a mecha show but it focuses a lot less on the fights and more on the romance between the two main characters and the world around them.

Hell, I'm 29 episodes into that and I think there's only been like, one or two major mecha fights so far!

So I was trying to watch Aldnoah zero before I started to really sink into the destiny beta, and for some reason it was not showing up on cruchyroll. Actually a lot of show were not even listed anymore.

Stupid me had forgotten I had my vpn set on hong kong, and I got a small taste of how much regional restrictions suck.

Don't get me wrong, I am more than willing to pay. Just that I'm not sure it would count.

Hardsubs are bullshit though, agreed. I'll be using them so it won't matter to me, but still, bullshit.

I don't mind fights in mech anime. I encourage it. But at least make it interesting or fun to watch. G Gundam just hasn't done this yet.

But yes I also appreciate good characters and some development. I may check it out once I finish this.

It seems every girl in school knows how great Makoto is. No other guy in the world could match how noble and honourable a person he is. Kotonoha finally discovers how great and wonderful he is. She sure knows how to pick em. This guy demonstrates how wrong those fedora tipping white knights truly are when it comes to women. Now love can truly blossom.
