Korean Sprite commercials are gross and get on my nerves

My opinion on this matter is that there's no legal pornography in Korea so a lot of this slutty stuff gets onto the mainstream to the delight of pent up Koreans.

Doesn't explain the exact same type of ads in every other 'western' society.

I had Sprite earlier today. No girl asked me to shower with her in it, though. Time to move to South Korea, I guess.

I'm curious about how GAF will respond to this because I know there's a big kpop community here, but let's see.

They're literally saying "Want to have a Sprite shower together?" and then just random uncomfortable/lingering closeups on tits/ass.

They're just leering and gross, which is true of most things related to kpop, but these are way too obvious. Coupled with the thought of taking a shower in soda and it just gives me a headache.

What do you guys think?

I suggest you don't watch any UK Lynx deodorant ads then.

Every day that passes Korea just seems like Asia America. Christians, tacky wet t-shirt ads, huge tech companies, and shitty rich people.

Asian culture. Being over here in the region I have realized how racist AND sexist they are.

Videos are fine though. Very tame for over here, you should see the electronic expos they hold.
Would you say you're an expert on it, and that honor and shame are huge parts of it?

They're like the Korean equivalent of a US Carl's Jr ad.

I don't get it. They're not worse than anything I've seen from America. It's just an ad, and it's a marketing campaign that's been doing really good things for Sprite over there. Seems like their popularity has skyrocketed since Clara did that ad with them (The 3rd one in the OP) and the first one with Suzy was filmed alongside the Shinchon Water Gun Festival which is a huge annual event sponsored by Sprite. Certainly appears to be working so I wouldn't expect it to stop any time soon.

Seems like you're getting worked up over nothing really.

god henry is such a tool.

anyways, this is basically like 100% of korean beer commercials except with sprite.

they have a bad drinking culture and this "gone wild" thing is a good chunk of the marketing spin around the youth demographic for it.

as for it being notable in comparison to commercials from any other country... nope. standard fare.

I can understand some feminist-minded people being offended. But those are very pretty ladies in those adds... "gross" is the last word you should use.
