It seems obvious to us, since we're on gaf, but I think it was more targetted at the casual nintendo fan who may or may not recognize ridley by shadow alone. I have to say, I was starting to worry about whether Smash will be this year for WiiU but the recent WiiU trailer reassured me.

I'll be genuinely devastated if it isn't. Melee is my favourite game ever, and I'm planning on buying four gamecube controllers for it (I have two but they're old and I want fresh ones), I also bought four pro controllers in preparation but it looks like that was a mistake :lol:

Why did you leave out Island DS/3DS? Not the best yoshi games, but at least he starred in them. I'd argue they're better than Touch & Go, at least.

Other than my minor complaint, fantastic, FANTASTIC job, keep it up! Looking forward to seeing who didn't make the cut more than who did, honestly. Be very interesting.

Also, first thing I do every morning is to immediately open up picture of the day on my phone, and then go about my morning routine without reading the caption. Gives me time to think about what I actually saw in the tiny picture. I was totally hoping it was finally a kirby stage w/ a stage boss, but then it dawned on me that it was probably still on battlefield.

Thanks! Maybe that was my personal vendetta against the Yoshi Island sequels that made me forget to add them (I can't stand those games!), but I'll try and add more for the future reveals. Fortunately, most characters don't have the expansive game library of Yoshi.

Also, yeah, I'm super surprised Kirby hasn't hadn't a stage reveal yet. The only one I'm fairly certain we'll get is a Epic Yarn stage for Wii U, but other than that I'm not leaning towards anything in particular. Maybe something from Return to Dreamland?

The only people who'd remember that shadow when it's actually revealed are those hardcore fans though. In the case of Pokemon, those silhouettes are immediately confirmed, not something unanswered for months...

Look at Sakurai's updates about Assist Trophies and such. He always makes it clear they aren't playable to avoid those misunderstandings. It seems odd that he'd overlook Ridley's situation there.
