Capcom's line-up for TGS 2014

Does Capcom even announce anything at these shows anymore?

Seems like most of their recent releases were revealed on the own time.

Well, to extend this further, do they actually announce games anymore?

The three games in the OP represent a large portion of their announced titles.

Deep Down is being cancelled and being retooled into Dragons Dogma 2. Believe it.

Also I'm assuming that there will be surprises such as Revelaitons 2 that aren't listed but who knows. Wake me when they announce Dragons Dogma 2 on the Phanta Rhei.

Hopefully they'll announce stuff at Sony's conference. But I consider Deep Down to be dead. It looked so interesting (before Bloodborne was announced).

I highly doubt it is dead as they had it up and running previously and seemed to be pretty far into its development. My best guess is they are working out the pay model and structure before announcing anything else. They are also probably trying to consider its viability as a western release.

Deep Down, a game that was supposed to have a public beta in February, is now nowhere to be seen with zero new information.

Capcom is such a joke.

No Deep Down? Seriously?
Guess we can consider one more vaporware...

Except if there are some hope for it to appear at Sony conference.

They already made Legends 3, it's called E.X. Troopers. :p

And sold like shit too, I can't imagine Legends 3 doing worst that EX Troopers or Gaist Crusher to be honest, specially when Legends 3 was a title to be released worldwide and this other 2 not.

No Deep Down is really dissapointing.
But I feel like mabye they just "went back to the drawing board" with this one.
After the original reveal I think they expected to get a lot of possitive reactions to the game but that just didn't turn out to be true. They lost A LOT of hype when they announced it would be F2P, and the reactions to the demo they had running last year were mostly in the "meh" category.

As for the rest.
As allways, people seem to forget that these lists are made with already announced games. They could have some announcements during the show, but they are not going to spoil them by putting them on some public list

They have some surprises in store for us. One of them is going to be a tease for Street Fighter V (current-gen only) and they will also announce that they've acquired the rights to the Arika characters from the EX series so we'll see some of them return to Street Fighter once again. The game will also include a narrative based story mode similar to Netherrealms recent games, and the story structure/flow is being developed in cooperation with the guys who made Street Fighter Assassin's Fist.

I wish.... never gonna happen

If it was, who would miss it? Most of the hype for it evaporated once it was found it had randomly-generated maps and a f2p model.

Yup, exactly what happened for me.

They really like to waste money on this.... instead of Legends 3.

Gaist Crusher will forever be something I'll never understand.

Ever since the old rumors of Treasure making a 3DS game circulated, I got antsy, thinking about what they could be doing next. Then hey, we heard about Capcom being involved.

...Then we got Gaist Crusher, which is just another MonHun clone. You really needed the guys behind the likes of Gunstar Heroes and GBA Astro Boy to do that...?

Dead Rising
Breath of Fire
MegaMan
Bionic Commando
Clock Tower
Dino Crisis
Deep Down
Lost Planet
Dragon's Dogma

Some of these are problematic, they can't do another MvC game unless Marvel agrees to do another one, Bionic Commando questionable in regards to further sequels, and Lost Planet is pretty much dead after the 3rd.

More Street Fighter, Vs series (CvS3 plz), Dragon's Dogma, DmC/DMC, Resident Evil (in some form of reboot) are definitely more financially viable with Onimusha, Breath of Fire, and Megaman being worthwhile pursuits as well.

I hope they release the music track from the Deep Down trailers if they do cancel the game.

The violins in that track were BEAUTIFUL.

Considering the IPs they have (see this list above) what the HELL is going on over there? We should at the VERY least get to see/play Deep Down.

Man that is an utterly disappointing list.

Look, I'm not saying get hyped, but they might have surprises in store at other floorshows (in conjunction with Sony or something). And just because we aren't on a constant flow of information doesn't mean that the games are suddenly dead.

Stop equivocating. This is a dismal lineup on the whole and there's no reason to be excited about Capcom's future prospects. As was mentioned, they've had their plans set up - new development building, ostensibly more internal development and rapid hiring - and we've not seen the fruits of that.

That logo looks terrible. Also, I don't see why they would tweet it with that self-incriminating message, or simply call it "remake".

But hey, maybe it's in the vein of the Resident Evil remaster. Who knows?
