Interesting.. how does it run? I have an iPhone 4, debating picking this up now or waiting until I get a 6 (definitely time to upgrade, my phone's chugging along very slowly these days).

I'm playing on a iPhone 4S and it runs smooth as silk.
The only thing I would see improved it's the initial loading screen (not sure if it's simply slow or the game is loading the iCloud save on my now crappy internet connection).

The game is absolutely fantastic.
I'm abroad right now and I can't wait to see how it runs on iPad Air.

Update for it today. I saw a bug yesterday when it didn't correctly record the standings of the race after it finished. (I finished 2nd and 3rd then right after the race it said 3rd and 4th) Hopefully it's fixed. Definitely enjoying it though. I've been playing on my 5 and iPad Air. Can't wait to get a larger screen for the iPhone.

Hitman Go is so, so slick. Anyone who likes turn-based puzzle/strategy should grab it instantly while it's still on sale for $1.99. I have no history with the franchise but this is a beautifully designed puzzler. I also really appreciated the use of the Ave Maria for the first assassination mission.

I'm sorely tempted by Motorsport Manager, but I've already spent so much on games ($15 each for Ace Attorney and DQIV). Any good gameplay videos out there?

Lol I suck at Beat Sneak Bandit. Got no rythym.

When I first bought the game...I sucked so hard I couldn't even pass the first level.
I found it helped me A LOT moving my feet or my head while playing.

Then I was able to fully complete the game.
It left me exhausted, not to mention I looked like a complete idiot while playing :)

If you like fighting games, KoF-i 2012 is the best iOS (and Android) has to offer bar none. It's understandabe that fighting games are rare on iOS given touchscreens are terrible for the genre, but KoK-i 2012 tackles the problem with some degree of success. The controls are streamlined just enough that you don't lose depth. There are a lot of content and it looks amazing.

There's KoF 98 too but since that wasn't made from scratch for iOS, it has terrible controls. Even if you have a controller I would recommend i-2012 over 98, but that's just a matter of preference.

edit: KoF-i 2012 isn't Universal though, so if game on iPad instead of iPhone, just forget about it.

Motorsport Manager is GLORIOUS.

GLORIOUS.

Just took the lead of the driver championship in the Australian competition, 2 races to go, with a bold strategy thanks to rain (and in Melbourne I risked 3 stops with soft instead of a safe race with hard...it paid well).

So good.
Too bad my battery is depleted, I need to win next race.
Like now.

The reliability of Motorsport Manager seems to have improved with yesterday's update, so that's good.

I've just finished my first season, scraping through to claim the driver's and constructor's titles in the last race. The game is brilliantly structured for the most part, but there are a few important omissions at times that make it very hard to know what's going on.

For example, as I mentioned before, it doesn't seem like you're able to browse the driver and engineering markets before considering whether to retain staff, which is a bit of a problem, and the fact that the tutorial tips seem spread out over the space of the season leaves you in the dark about certain strategies until later races. I know in real racing if you're stuck behind someone then it's often best to hold off a bit and save your tyres, but does this game model that? You'll only find out when it eventually decides to let you know!

But as I said, a very good effort. Easily the best racing management sim since GPM2 (not that there have been many).

Hitman Go had totally escaped me until all this sale hype. Thanks guys! I'm blown away by the presentation of this. What a beautiful game.

So I'm really enjoying Third Eye Crime. The art style, aesthetic, and noir narrative is definitely right up my alley, and the gameplay is different from other stealth games I've played. You can't ghost most levels, which might turn some people off, but the gameplay makes for a lot of intense cat-and-mouse moments. It's about evasions, on-your-feet adaption as you obverse your enemies' future paths, and precise timing. The game layers on new obstacles and mechanics, from gun-wielding enemies to alarms and different gadgets for you to use

I'm not sure if it's still free at the moment, but if it is, I recommend giving Third Eye Crime a try

Yeah, Third Eye Crime is one of those really overlooked games that deserves to be played. It's right up there with other stealth games like Dynamite Jack and even Hitman Go as far as fun factor goes IMO.

Just started playing Motorsport Manager, and really enjoying it. Love what they have done with the design and UI. Very easy and intuitive to play to play with one hand which I find essential for a good mobile game. Lots of charm through the social media messages and stuff reacting to your actions. I also like the difference in play/strategy when going through qualifiers vs. the actual race. So far it blows that kariosoft racing game out of the water. Can't really talk about the depth or difficulty, but I would recommend it for a nice mobile management sim game.

So you've all convinced me to buy Motorsport Manager.

I just went from 3rd to 9th on the last lap, I thought the tires would last ;_;.

The presentation is really amazing and I hope more publishers go the "extra mile" when creating an ios game.

I think it is boring as hell, but it sure looks nice.

IMO the best example of adapting a franchise for mobile. No shoehorned, cluttered touch controls, no cutting down or diminishing classic levels in a way that annoys fans. Take the essence of the series and develop a game from the ground up for touch screens and mobile devices

I was actually thinking the opposite. I haven't played any Hitman games before, but this seems to be a pretty simple puzzle game with a glossy, interchangeable skin. I could imagine Hitman fans being pretty disappointed with it. It sure is pretty though. And addictive!

I'm a big fan of the games. Go is truer to the franchise than any stripped-down port might have been. This is what I said about the game in the April thread
As an avid fan of the series, seeing the gameplay I loved reduced to this...let's just say my impressions of screenshots and gameplay weren't positive

But the forum impressions and reviews convinced me to give the game a chance and I'm glad I did. Hitman Go may not be the kind of Hitman I would have preferred on IOS but it's far from the abomination I had been anticipating. Rather than being a strike against the franchise, Hitman Go somehow is able to remain true to the series' core mechanics while distilling those elements to a mobile-friendly package with a fantastic presentation.

Compared to other stealth series like Splinter Cell and Thief, the Hitman franchise was always best enjoyed as stealth puzzle games IMO. Methodically setting up your assassination, putting pieces in motion, the right disguise in the right place at the right time. Hitman Go takes that foundation and strips the gameplay down to its purest stealth puzzle form. The series' key elements still remain - distractions, disguises, guards and targets - but are presented in a wonderfully realized board-game aesthetic. The gameplay is as methodical as ever, perhaps even more so here than in its console/PC brethren, since enemies move when you move and without planning ahead, the wrong move will find you cornered or dead. Different guard behaviors and various objectives for missions that require different routes add replay value and challenge

Hitman Go is an excellent game that remains true to the series while presenting the gameplay through an interesting unique aesthetic.

Hitman fans already got Absolution. If that didn't make them dead inside, nothing will.

Absolution was a good stealth game but an absolutely horrible Hitman game. The only good additions were the improved graphics, improved contorts, better melee, crowds, etc. Blood Money made me a fan of stealth games so I hold it in very high regards

Yeah this is fantastic game. I haaaaaaate sim games, just find them super boring as hell. But this has all the polish and charm I need to stay interested. Love the eff out of it.

I had fun with it for awhile but got quickly bored. Good aesthetics but not much staying power.

In Motorsport Manager, how long can you survive in the red? I'm hobbling around £500k-£1m and need some serious reinvestment in the team's infrastructure to be able to consistently meet the sponsor's performance targets.

But my current facilities are maxed out and I'll need to go about £1.2m in debt at first to affect any change. Is there any real disadvantage to that? Can you go out of business?

Possibly in-between seasons. I haven't really noticed it mid-season though (I assume because you can operate at a loss but still make a profit due to meeting the sponsorship targets). There is a bug which can give you some buffer cash though - if you win a championship (first two definitely - not sure about the others) and go through the End of Season procedure, you can quit the game at the point where you'd choose your new Championship and reopen it to keep on getting the championship prize money.

So for someone who never had an interest in F1 or Nascar, would you recommend Motorsport Manager? I don't play many sim games but this looks exceptionally polished and unique

I don't really care about motorsports in general and I've had a blast with it. Definitely the most polished iOS game I've played in a long time.

A small tip for Motorsport Manager - the weather changes on the Qualifying screen. So if you hold off for it to be raining with it changing to dry in 5-6 minutes, you can usually pick up an easy first place by doing a 2x wet lap followed by a 2x soft lap where most of the AIs will only have qualified using the slower wet tyres.

How does the hint system in Hitman work? Is there any possibility to regain them or do I have to pay for them?

It is not like I would need them, but I would use them if there was a way to obtain them.

MM is fine for a couple races but it's just kind of boring overall to me. Boring's not the right word. Maybe mundane? Not much more goes on in the races than picking tires and pitting.

What are good turn-based action game like WH Quest? This game and X-Com made me appreciate this genre and I want more :)

It is certainly ultra polished and fun.
One of its best feature imho is how accessible it is.
Some people are complaining for lack of depth, wanting to tweak even the smallest details like wing inclinations etc...but imho it would have been a different product, much more niche...and I'm pretty sure that, while being a motorsport great fan, I wouldn't appreciate it.
It's fast, perfect for mobile and watching the race unfolding after your choices is very addicting.
If I had to spend 10 minutes on the front wing settings it would have lost all its appeal imho and I probably wouldn't have played as much as I'm doing.

Said that, while really easy to get into...there are some concepts pertaining to motorsports (or life in general) that you should be familiar with
Easy things but, as they aren't explained in the game and assumed as general knowledge, they could be a bit off putting (they were for sure for some friends of mine who are enjoying the game but only after some explanations).

Nothing big...things like 'safety car', lap times, lap times deltas and such.
Concept you probably are already aware of, even if not interested in motorsports.

IMHO it's a great buy.
