Persona Community Thread |OT6| Where 6 Comes Before 5 (No PQ or P4U spoilers!)

Amanda Winn-Lee (Yukiko) and Karen Strassman (Aigis/Nanako)

OH YES! I can't wait!

Man, if companies started dubbing their own videogames into Latin American Spanish, I would be fucking thrilled.

The only ones who are doing that (as far as I know) are Sony. In fact, most (if not all) of their Latin American dubs are made here in Argentina. I think Ubisoft wants to do the same, but I don't really know if they already started.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the interviews were probably recorded before the stream was recorded.

Oh, now that you mention it, you may be right.

Question: Are the Famitsu DLC colours for Ultimax in the issue that's currently out or a future issue?
Current one.

So, with Ultimax out, I figured I'd plug this- during the past week (maybe a bit more?), PK and I almost singlehandedly filled out the Dustloop Wiki pages for Yu and Yukari respectively (with pictures and all! o/). Figured they could be useful. Not many of the other pages are filled yet, sadly.

Here's the link to the Yu wiki page by PK…

…and the Yukari wiki page by me.

If you guys think you can contribute too, you should try!

Oh yeah, but most of the times I've seen people complain about them sending it to Argentina because it's cheap and not so good compared to others. I don't play Sony games so I can't judge.. I think Microsoft has been dubbing some of their games too,

And Disney has dubbed Disney Infinity and some Pixar Kinect titles.
Yósuke, no puedo creer que me rompiste mi copia de "La Prueba del Dragón!"
I'd like to see what they would do with Teddie since you can't make oso puns as easy as english. Maybe he would be a diva,

"Osea, Yosuke, que oso con tu vida."

Yosuke! Nao consigo acreditar que quebraste minha copia de "A Prova do Dragao!"

Yosuke! Nao acredito que partiste a minha copia do "A Prova do Dragao"!

Brazilian and portuguese are basically the same thing aha (except when I read your phrase I had the brasilian accent in there too, it's automatic :p)

Perdoa-me, menina Satonaka! Espera até eu receber o meu próximo salário, por favor!

*joelho pra as bolas do Yosuke*

[Parece que ele esta sofrendo muito.
[Voce deve lhe deixar so'.]

EDIT: For the record I could've used Rompeste or Partiste, but I figured that "Quebraste" sounded the most like what a teenaged girl would say. I'm a little unsure about the tense, now, though. I think it'd be most natural for Chie to say "Eu nao posso acreditar que voce quebrou minha copia de tal tal tal tal tal"

¿Dónde esta esa imagen de Yosuke con las maracas, el mostacho y el sombrero que dice "Yosqué"? (La cual tiene el tilde equivocado, je.)

Also, now Chie love for steak will be moved to tacos, enchiladas, gorditas, etc.

That was a great watch. BTW, how many VAs are we getting in total?

Just the 4, sadly. It was literally during a few 15 minute breaks in the middle of PQ voice recording since everyone's schedule was nuts. I wish I got to talk to some of the others, but c'est la vie. Maybe if they're still around we can swing them in?

Between P4AU and PQ, we had our project lead practically living in the Valley for months. Plus, the Valley is terrible (if you notice I look shiny, that's not nervous sweat, that's "it's goddamn 100 degrees outside" sweat)

John, I challenge you to do an unboxing for Ultimax and PQ :p

... hornado?

¿Y eso que estamos hablando en español, a todo esto? :lol

HA HA HA

:(

We're lucky to even get the game text translated in Spanish (and European Spanish, at that). I honestly don't mind it that much, but a lot of my friends' English is terrible, so I can't recommend a lot of the games I normally play.

Just get those same 2 folks from Univision that always dub everything. They can play all positions.

Junpei yelling "GOLAAAA GOLA GOLA" after leveling up though.

The game is called Persona, and not Person, for a reason you know.

Say whaaa? All of my Persona games are in English. And I got a friend to download P3P in his pirated PSP, but since he doesn't know english and hates otakus and anime, there's no way I can get him into Persona. lol

Perhaps JYB and Laura Bailey when P4D is set for localization.

Bad idea all around, starting from him downloading pirated software :/
He doesn't care lol I know a looooot of folks who pirate their games. Anyways, so you have your Persona games in Spanish?
"Chie, sabes otras palabras que empiezan con la letra F? "

"Uh, Fbistec"

"Excelente"

My Spanish is REALLY bad
That's actually pretty good. Change "empiezan" con "empiezen" and I think it would work. I don't remember if "futile" is fútil or something in Spanish.

It should be better considering I'm Mexican and all =/

Oh, another Mexican xD
But... uh... how did that happen? Living in the US since you were a child?

¿Quién es el hombre?

Sadly, I know that too well. None of my friends give a shit about pirated software.

And very obviously not =/. Should we do a LP translating the story text into Spanish?

Chie is the worst waifu
My mom was born in Italy, but raised here in America.

Shame she didn't speak Italian all that much, except to my grandmother.

I only picked up a couple of things like ''fonguol" ;p

Junpei yelling "GOLAAAA GOLA GOLA" after leveling up though.

If he was Brazilian the I could perfectly see him as the stereotypical Corinthians' ( a football team around here) fan with dat Paulista accent.

"Quem é o cara, velho??"

Language barrier tends to be a major problem for RPGs. I refused to play the ones available on the 16-bit and 32-bit consoles since I didn't know English at the time and pretty much all of them were English only.

The only RPG I've ever remember seeing in Portuguese was Phantasy Star IV. Nowadays, only AAA games have some kind of Portuguese component and of course, Atlus can't do something like that.

Persona was actually one of the first RPGs I played after I finally knew enough English to understand the game.

Oh boy, these last few posts... You made my night, guys :p

Indeed. I remember something that happened to me yeeeeears ago. One day I went to a friend's house and he was playing this game called Persona 3... Not even FES, the original Persona 3. He just started playing it that day, but we weren't able to understand what was going on, so we went back to the store and traded the game for Resident Evil 4. Who would've thought that seven years later I'd love that game so much?

PK_Gaming and I have recently made an avatar bet.

He thinks that Sho Minazuki will not be the main character of Persona 5, I'm all about that #TeamShotagonist.

The terms so far is a 3 month avatar bet, and this post will be documentation of such.

Nah man, if Junpei was Brazilian he'd be Flamengista on account of the red and black stripes make girls somehow more attractive.

OR he'd root for some really backwater club like Atletico Goiano.

Oh, god... I really hope you lose your avatar, lol. Sorry.

I dunno, his face scream Paulista to me. But then, Flamengo and Corinthians aren't really that different :p

If he wanted to root for some tiny club, I would choose America since for some reason people tend to love that team in the state of Rio de Janeiro. And it has a red t-shirt. No black though, it's red and white.

Did you also bet that The Last Guardian would be at TGS by any chance? :p

There's a language barrier for Persona 3?

Well, there is a language barrier if you are playing a game in English and you don't understand said language. That's why I put emphasis on the fact that it happened years ago :p

Rip your avatar.

I'd love to make a Sho pun but I'm can't think of any.
