When you think the console is a worthy value for your tastes is entirely up to you. Don't try to project your buying needs or opinions on to other people because plenty of us have been enjoying our systems just fine this first year.

And proof, if any was needed, that indie games cannot, in fact, fill the gap that the current dearth of AAA games has left. Indies alone cannot justify expensive electronics purchases, no matter how innovative or immersive they are.

Doubtful, it's more likely the PS3 version will be fine and the PS4 version will just be 1080p etc.

Am I excited to play Persona 5 in 1080p (likely 60fps) with higher visual fidelity on my PS4? Yes.

Do I regretted buying a PS4 at launch last year due to lack of decent games? Nope.

Infamous SS, Resogun, BF4, The Last of Us Remastered, Outlast, Strider, Wolfenstein and Tomb Raider have all been awesome. Oh and Knack was actually pretty fun and a great throwback to old platform-action games.

So yeah, your statement may hold true for you. Which sucks. But most are probably pretty happy with the steady stream of games we've been getting, so I wouldn't go making sweeping generalisations like that…

I don't really think it makes much of a difference since they aren't really a studio that's going to be able to compete with companies that can throw millions and millions of dollars at the development of a game. No one really expects them to push any console that they're working on from a tecnical standpoint. With that said, Catherine already showed that they can wreck other companies from an art standpoint

That also sounds like making it crossgen pushed it back a few months, which is to be expected.

This isn't true. P3 and P4 both started on PS2, well after the PS3 came. That's where the install base was.

As things changed, they got PSP/PSVita versions, and now we're crossgen. I expect a Vita version in a year or two as well, Golden did way too well for them to leave that on the table.
