Why are people acting like Capcom only messes up female faces? Chris is a completely different person in RE5 than be was in RE1. Leon always looks different as well.

Chris, Jill, and Wesker were all decent matches from RE5. Chris just beefed the fuck up and looks it.

Huh. Hardly recognize Clraire anymore. Don't know what to think of that design.
Hope the game is good at least.

Sounds like the Last of Us the way Moira fits, doing what Ellie does but not causing a game over, only Claire/Joel will, helping CLaire with stuff like Elie does. Stealth and stealth kills.

I liked TLoU, but I don't want this in RE.

I'll have to wait until I see more.
But yeah definite TLOU influence right there.
Though if the campaign is coop if I'm readong it right how could the second player not die?

This partner crap is getting way old. Hopefully The Evil Within does really well and they learn something.

This would be too good to be true, despite Rev1 returning to a somewhat connected map in the main campaign. I was hoping for it when the first infos hit, but it's probably more corridor gameplay. With this dumb focus on coop anyway.

Well from my impression I have got from this, I feel that the COOP won't hinder the design experience this time around. There'll be plenty of corridors and claustrophobic encounters I am sure (it is a Detention facility and other complexes after all and this always fits the genre) but there will be some open spaces (and probably puzzles) and none of this would be buggered with the COOP partner if they are going for a Last of us approach with how the AI works if going for the singular experience (and COOP will only be additional that can benefit a player and join in the experience). I am sure there'll be a few segments where the players will split up but that's to be expected. I don't reckon it will ruin the survival horror experience however.

Nothing can be worse than Degeneration Leon.

I don't know who that is, but that's not Leon Kennedy.

According to her twitter she hasn't been contacted at all regarding reprising the role.

If that's true, I truly wonder what the point is? Why does Capcom always feel the need to replace established voice actors since day one? They even got rid of Paul Mercer who voiced Leon in RE4 and Degeneration. Alyson has been the only long running VA since RE2 that has retained her role and continuity and now she may be getting replaced. Why?

At this point I'd rather she wasn't even in the game then.

From what I've read, it seems Capcom is taking inspiration from TLOU. Interesting.

Whatever they do I just want it to be much better than Revelations. That game was just bad.

That's obviously Sonys' crappy/quick budget CGI team Leon model that wanted to rush out of the door! Capcom doesn't mind cutting some corners if it meant saving a few bucks along the way in production:lol:

Claire looks fine to me.
I like the fact that people age in the RE series.
She looks like Darskide Chronicles Claire but older.

lmao it looks like they completely ripped off Ellies assets for Moira.

Claire has seen better days and now works for Walmart.

I'd hoped they'd just make the story completely standalone instead of trying to tie it in to the horrible mess that is the story of RE 5 and 6. I guess there's still a small chance it is standalone and this is just the timeline of when it's set though.
Visually the characters remind me of the slimmer more grim look from Re 6.

I just hope that when you play single player the AI partner will just stay in the background like Ashley did in Re 4, instead of leading the player everywhere and basically playing the game for me like in Re 5 and 6.

Rev1 felt pretty standalone. I honestly had no clue what it actually ,,revealed'' after finishing.

Please Capcom, don't crapcom on this. Alyson Court IS Claire, there can't be another person doing her voice.

Gameplay will be much more Survival Horror orientated (much like the first Resident Evil: Revelations), bringing the series back to its roots with less over the top action, unlike Resident Evil 5 and 6.

Good.....GOOD!

If they do what I think they will. Looks like Revelations will be our horror series with mainline stuff being the action.

I mean, that was more or less the case with Rev1. The only overt references to RE5 were a quick cameo and a quick epilogue scene.

The link has magazine scans, so I'm not sure if it's okay to post the link, but Push-Start is getting this info from Gamesmaster Magazine.

“In the time since we last saw her (Claire), she’s grown to be a seasoned veteran.”
Claire will be joined throughout the campaign...
When playing as Claire, her style will be more combat focused...

not again, please not again. why is it that they still think we want dude bro evil

Claire!

She looks a bit different (kinda see Milla Jovovich in her face), but whatever. Enjoyed the first Revelations a lot on 3DS, probably going to pick this next one up for PC.

Claire has been hardened after all her experience, It's kinda impossible for her to not be man. You ever see Degeneration? She's so used to Biohazard shit now. How would she not be a veteran at this point?

Haha yeah me neither :D
To me the stories in the RE games definitely work best when it's focused like in the earlier games
Like in RE 1 it was all about the mansion, what was happening there and then and not gigantic amounts of convoluted backstories and organizations.

I actually enjoyed the part of Revelations story that was set on the ships.

Judging from what we've had, they'll both be action. One will just be advertised differently and have a worse combat system.

I don't really think Revelations was very "horror" like. There were moments (like in RE5 and RE6) but nothing akin to the good old days.

Although the tone and atmosphere of those scans, while very grainy, seem to be on the money so far. Reminds me of Rockfort Island, actually, which is quite ironic considering :p

LOL, yes.

I'm curious as to how well they'll handle Barry's backstory, if any of it is mentioned in this game. After Raccoon City he became a member of the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team, the same secret U.S. military agency as Leon. I wonder if they'll even mention this. If they do, that'll be excellent, but if they don't, that's fine too.

I just hope they don't make him BSAA, though it's unlikely anyway due to his presence at the gala. If he's private security for TerraSave or something after the military agency was disbanded back in 2003/4, that would be most excellent.

I'm not shocked at Claire's new design, honestly. Capcom is so inconsistent with their own designs, sometimes. (See Frank West and Jill, they basically have a new design every new game they are in.)
