I wonder how much they're going to show off on the stream, you can't play the game for more than an hour without unlocking half the roster.
Slight exaggeration, but they made so many bad decisions for a portable entry of this series.

Do we know that Ness doesn't have Lucas' specials as custom moves? Lucas' normals are gone, obviously, but his specials could still be in the game.

No really, only reason I'm okay with this roster is because the inclusion of those two.
Everything else I'll try out sure but those two are the mains.

I bet some people never get all the characters in Smash. This makes it more accessible to get the full content of the game. I'm glad for that. Unlocking characters is archaic.

My thoughts exactly. It's highly unlikely I would ever be able to play Smash Run with others. I don't think Nintendo really knows just how unusual local MP is for 3DS owners in America, esp. those over the age of 18.

Seriously, any surprise after the ESRB leak would be amazing. Although technically we "got" Alph and the Koopalings. Although if we found a new character NOW, the internet would melt and Sakurai would attain godhood and ascend to the celestial plain.

The fucking Smash Direct fucking fooled me. The translator says Smash Run "is way different than a normal online match."

I assumed it would be online because of that...

Well Ridley terrible and so are his jokes about him being too big or whatever.

Some people are more radical and extreme in voicing their disappointment than others. Let's not group them with the mildly disappointed. It's ok to like a lot of this game and still think Dr. Mario and Dark Pit are shit additions without being called a man child.

You are incorrect. It was Leif/Leaf who was considered as the Marth clone in Melee, not Sigurd. Sigurd is just Sakurai's favorite FE character.

The only disappointment about DHD for me is that he doesn't have his classic laugh.

Other than that he looks amazing definitely going to be one of my new mains along with Palutena and Robin.

There are certain things I'm really hype for, and there's certain things I'm really not.


+ Newcomers overall are pretty wonderful and I'd say better balanced than Brawl's.
+ Content in general looks great. Love the new classic mode and the whole game looks packed.
+ Game just looks great. Gameplay and aesthetics wise. Both of those things I'm ready to be done with Brawl on big time.

- Some very odd and even off-putting character choices.
- Devestating cuts, some taking entire gameplay styles with them, and me personally losing my favorite character. Wolf was also a strong favorite of mine.
- Certain problems still not addressed, particularly with veterans and Final Smashes.
- Dark Pit. Fuck Dark Pit. His face is stupid.

I still can't wait to get my copy. I need to play it for myself to see how fun it is. I hope the gameplay is fine tuned enough so I can overcome these negatives and make this my definitive Smash game.
