I love the going on a road trip through a weird Final Fantasy world motif of the trailer. Wonder how much of that will figure into the story of the game.

That was a really weird trailer. The game just doesn't seem to have the old dark Versus look anymore. Doesn't seem to be grounded in realism anymore and has the same overall tone as something like FFXIII, Type 0, and well, most other cheesy JRPGs. And the combat looks pretty slow and boring compared to the 2011 trailer. I think it will be full of QTE type stuff from the looks of it. Really not interested in this game anymore. Especially now with Nomura off the project.

One part of me is REALLY impressed by this. The graphics, enemy design, gameplay and size of the world looks amazing.
Another part of me is saying "Remember FFXIII, you were hyped beyond belief by the trailers of that one too"
