Final Fantasy XV TGS 2014 Trailer | Lord Nomura giveth us His only Son so we may live

Same. I'm sure that Luna is just a renamed Stella, and she is the blonde girl in the latest trailer.

Yup FFXV gave everyone a makeup crazy how things changed from the e32013 trailer I'm still shocked, prompto looks American now compared to how he was.

Ishida btw 11est hype tonight Big Bossu needs us daidmondo dawg-zu!

This is what I think, minus the throwoff.

They showed Stella's new design up close, and the trailer also drops a new character in by naming Luna, it was just bad editing that it happens at the same time.

Though I don't know it to be true, nor does anyone know it to be true that Stella=Luna.

The person in the new trailer is definitely Luna. Even if they're the same person, this much is definitely true.

I want Luna and Stella to be different purely out of the possibility of a waifu war over two identical characters.

I want really stupid passionate arguments.

I'll weigh in on the Stella/Luna thing. Let's review what's actually in the trailer.

At 1:35 in the trailer, we see the car driving at night, with the following voice-over:
"Turns out Luna is in Altissia. I trust she's well."

Next, at 1:40, we see an entirely different scene (red apocalyptic background), with a different character speaking:
"Your date's already waiting for you."

Then, at 1:45, we see the blonde female character, with two male voices speaking:
"She say anything else?"
"She's got something for me."

These feel like three unrelated snippets of dialogue (certainly the visuals are from three unrelated scenes), with no indication that "Luna" refers to the character that appears two scenes later. Count me in the camp that says Stella is still Stella.

The person in the new trailer is definitely Luna. Even if they're the same person, this much is definitely true.

You are aware that a person can take off one piece of jewelry and put on another? Not to mention that the moon necklace also has a star on it.

We're now best friends.

How about: Luna is Noctis' girlfriend, and because of a hilarious case of mistaken identity since they look alike, Noctis gets Stella pregnant and that's why the invasion takes place.

Yup. This is also not unique to this trailer of FFXV. In the E3 2013 trailer, at the end there's the dialogue sequence:

"You want the truth?"

"Why not?"

"It's complicated."

If you actually watch the characters, the dialogue doesn't match up with their lips, like at all. They just used a completely different scene, to fit the nature of that line in the context of the trailer.

In the same sense, I think SE is mixing and matching dialogue with scenes, just to nail the 'tone' of the trailer, and not make 'sense' of it. That's why I think the girl in the trailer is Stella, and Luna is completely unrelated to what was represented on screen (imo).

Can someone please post a gif from the Lightning Memorial Service or something?
Can't believe that happened.

Square is such a bizarro company. Can only attempt to imagine what must happen behind those walls.

The hell? I understand not recognising Sakurai, but Nomura and Miyamoto? I blame weird pictures and it being unclear since Kojima and Kamiya were so obvious

Good analysis. Luna=moon, night, dark. I too think Luna refers to the black haired girl. Stella=star, bright, blonde.

I wouldn't say they're indistinguishable. Their skin tones are pretty different, not to mention the hair.
I'm not seeing the different tones. And she clearly had her hair in an updo. Was Yuna a different character when she did that in FFX?

This is probably known but I didn't see it mentioned, it seems Eurogamer will have an interview with Tabata and info about XV up on Monday.

I think this guy may be Gladiolus dad. Same eyes. Their family is sworn to protect the crown and this guy is seeing protecting Noctis's Dad in one of the trailers. His son protecting Noctus continues the oath.

Revisiting demo date from a few dozen pages ago:

Hey guys a lot of you are asking for clarification on when the Final Fantasy XV demo is actually coming out so let me clarify:

The release date of the Final Fantasy XV Demo has not been confirmed and we will announce more details closer to the release of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. We will try our best to make sure you don't have to wait long but at the moment we can't confirm a specific date.

So, de-confirmed. I told you it was a mistake.

I would love for them to put out a post mortem book or something when this game is done about the entire production of this game. Fill it with tons of discussion, artwork and all the changes that went on It would be an incredibly fascinating read.
