The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah Im not paying 40quid for shipping of a 970, that puts it at basically 980 price point if I was to buy them here. Ill just wait until they are available locally and stick my 580 in the new computer, fuck it

unfortunatly I cant cut such corners with my dogs, and today it was another 150€ in the vet, joy of joys... damn alergic dog >_< just take some zyrtek like I do asshole :(

are there any games similar to Fire Emblem on PC?

You can emulate Tear Ring Saga PS1. It's literally a Fire Emblem game with a different name.

oh no ... O_O

Access Games doesn't own the DP rights? Well shit.

There's the genesis/mega drive port of Shining Force, if you want something old school. Xcom, as someone else mentioned, is also solid. Then there's the recent Shadowrun games, or Wasteland 2. All are turn based strategic RPGs, all come highly recommended.

Me during Civ V...

1. Play about 50 turns.
2. Save.
3. Come back later to continue.
4. Forget everything I was planning.
5. Start a new game

I'm staunchly anti-kickstarter.

That said, I would put money down so hard if swery ever went that route. Swery is like Suda51, only his games are actually charming. Gaming needs more swerys

this is worth, right?

If you don't own any of them, definitely, or even half of them, probably.

Like I said, there's also separate packs per franchise that seem to be 75% off as well

Also, I've only seen this for the UK and Europe, so I don't know if this is also available in the US.

Doesn't seem like it. Why must us Americans suffer such injustice? *tear*

For you.
Ok, I'm 18 levels in on Team Indie( stopped due to a minor bug that doesn't let me proceed to the next level. Keep in mind, I'm playing the beta build so bugs are to be expected)

So far I'm liking it. A lot. It's a very competent puzzle platformer. In this game you have several indie characters that help the protagonist reach the end of the level, and each of the characters have their unique power. Dustgirl wallruns/walljumps and double jumps, Clunk explodes stuff, CommanderVideo can slide under stuff, J.Jitters can create platforms to jump on.
When you touch a character's icon on the level, you activate it and use it, taking advantages of their powers to either activate doors/buttons to open passages, explode obstacles or create platforms to jump further. After you switch to the next character, everything will rewind back in time, and the character you just used will to the exact same moves you did. You have to take advantage of what you did before to progress further. (as it says on the description of the store, you do co-op with yourself).Coordination and timing are key, and the time mechanic makes it play a bit like Braid, albeit quite a bit more diverse.

So far, I definitively recommend it, and I assume it will get really complex later on(as I have like half of the characters right now, and I assume they will mix up the gameplay even further.

People overemphasize failed kickstarters.
By anti, I don't mean to sound like I'm opposed to the idea. I don't care if others want to contribute to it, just rather wait out the final product and see if it's good, like I do with every game I buy. I own broken age, ftl, and probably a few other games that really benefitted from kickstarters so I'm glad that devs have that option. Just never going to give to one because id rather wait and see.

Eh, there's always Killer 7. Crazy, but pretty charming nonetheless.
killer 7 was good, but nothing after that has come close. I tried no more heroes but that wasn't really enjoyable, and Killer is Dead seems to be all style with some fan service thrown in there. I'll still pick it up when it's $5, but even killer 7 doesn't have the charm of Deadly Premonition.

I liked Shadows of the Damned, but that wasn't really a suda game so meh.

Well, the new music player is kind of neat, if only because I never knew there were all these random soundtracks in the steam folder. I hope more developers will include OSTs with their games.

bish gets all the credit :)
Now I've seen everything.
Someone that uses the windows version of itunes by choice?

Except it's not the bloated piece of garbage that itunes is. That and it's way more flexible than just what's shown. Can't get too fancy with a giant library.

Played just a bit of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter but I'm very sleepy right now so I'll leave it for tomorrow. Fantastic atmosphere right from the start though. Those visuals, that soundtrack. I had to unfortunately bail out of the OT due to people posting untagged spoilers. Hopefully the one that was posted isn't too far in...

I know the one you're talking about.
It's the biggest twist in the game sorry.
I'm totally lying

I've put 4 hours into Clash of Heroes and it seems like it's not for me. It reminds me of Puzzle Quest, only I'm finding these battles to take much too long. Fighting a guy for several minutes only to see that you're not even halfway down their life bar is just too much from a puzzle/RPG hybrid.

I'm just not having fun with it.

lmao, not gonna lie, my heart was racing when I highlighted to see if you were joking.

To be fair, no matter how much I try to avoid them at least ONE spoiler always finds its way towards me with narrative-driven games. It's like a curse that not even playing day one seems to help. Ah well.

I know the feeling well.
I can manage to stay away from threads even relating to the game and i'll still get something spoiled.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Added some more games to my/IndieGAF groups Steam Curator list:
http://store.steampowered.com/curator/4626771

Its now at 126 items and just broke the 1000 followers a few minutes ago. Still not covering enough games, I'll add more whenever I get to it. Kinda crazy how fast these things grow. Feel free to share the link if you like the group.

K7 is the only one of Suda's games I liked. I'll have to pick up KiD when I get MGRising off my plate. Will see what that one does for me....
