I wonder if there will be a discount for those of us that got the Xbox Original DL version. Will check if I can redownload it.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

This game on vita would be really great. Actually the whole trilogy can be pretty successful since they only need to port the iOS/android version.

I never played Vice City Stories (stupid, I know, since I loved Vice City) but I rarely used my PSP. My OCD prevents me from taking handhelds out of my home.

I'd love a remaster of it and LCS for Vita.

I would have down like a clown for this after GTA4 but before GTA5.

Now? I'm not so sure. Depends on how much work they put into it.

Will be great to replay it again in HD.

A Vita and/or current gen release would be great aswell, but i'll take what I can get for platforms.

Yeah, and even then you can only unlock it to 30fps unless you want abnormal physics which kind of ruin the game completely.

It'd be nice to see Rockstar fix that.
I thought Grief or someone here had posted instructions to run it at 60fps without breaking the game.

The PC version of GTA SA has been getting some pretty regular testing with new beta depots spotted. Not sure what is happening there. One of the early betas was briefly not password protected and a gaffer found it to have xinput and proper widescreen support. Also some music licencing issues are being dealt with, as had occured with Vice City. Seems old owners may get to keep the old music, but new users won't.

Will be interesting to see what is happening on 360.

This makes me happy. More devs should put time into their old PC ports to make them playable. 2004-2008 was a bad time for all of us.

will gently cradle you as time slowly ticks away.
Each version has it's benefits.

PS2 - Best lighting but poor IQ and framerate. Worst controls, loading and pop-up issues (though these improve a lot with a hard-drive i.e playing on a PS3).

XBOX - Improved somewhat graphically (better than the DP in some ways but overall worse, especially the IQ) and controlled great (especially on the 360). My go-to version but very disappointing port.

PC - Could look way better (but had terrible controls).

Still can you enlighten me on why they removed, the other versions just look sterile without it.

In aircraft yes.

On foot and in vehicles? Not really. Combat is ridiculously easy with mouse controls.

I finished it only once, at the time of release, on PS2. Loved it, restarted it countless times, but never got to the end again.

I always want to replay the PC version (I did, for 5 hours, a couple of years ago), but the keyboard controls constantly put me off. For some reason, it's one of those games that needs proper controller support.

What with GTA V Remastered on the horizon, and Rockstar seemingly moving on to current gen, I'm gonna file this under "doubtful"

I hope it keeps the multiplayer part of the original gta sa where you could only be ~100ft away from the other player

I had a surprising amount of fun with this back in the day. There wasn't much to it but still.

But while we're on the subject of multiplayer how awesome would it be if they added some mp to a remaster? Just adding online free roam to the game would be all kinds of awesome.

It's a significant difficulty spike with no explanation of what you're actually supposed to do... "All you had to do was follow the train, CJ." Well, not really. You had to stay in front of the train to the right for 50% of it, and then keep a sizeable distance to the left for the final 2 guys, and you had to hope that Smoke made the logical decision in who to shoot... and he regularly did not.

The PS2 version of this mission and Zero's flight mission were significantly harder than subsequent releases on PC and Xbox, where they made those missions easier. After a hundred tries I beat Zero's RC plane mission on PS2... after painstakingly outlining the best possible path to take and then taking 10 or 20 tries to actually execute on it. And then replaying it on PC, I did it in one try; same with Xbox Original/360.

Launch the Red Baron!

Yeah, that Zero mission was a killer on the PS2.
Yeah, I'll give you the Zero RC missions for difficulty. The van one on PS2 essentially had the fuel running all the time versus the PC release which had it running only when you were pressing the gas. Made it much easier.
But at least that entire mission string was completely skippable.

But then how could you earn $4000/week from Zero's toy shop???! :)

Assuming of course you hadn't already made billions of dollars on the horse betting in downtown Los Santos[/b]

I just got a program named FPS Limit Adjuster and that actually seems to do the trick. Damn, San Andreas feels sooo good at 60fps.

I have to admit, I feel pretty silly not knowing something like this existed after 50+ hours on record, haha
