GTA: San Andreas confirmed for Xbox 360

The company promises that this isn't a mere change in how gamers can purchase the game. The graphics have been improved, supporting 720p resolution, improved draw distances, and as the achievement list leak already revealed, full achievement support.

In addition to the revealed list, there are an additional 11 secret achievements to unlock in San Andreas.

Almost makes me want to re-buy it on my 360 for achievement support alone.

Already own on PS2/Steam, but I'll pick it up on 360 if the improvements are better/as good as the Steam version and the price is right

How incredibly unusual, especially if it doesn't end up on PS3, or ideally PS4/Xbone One too. Er, Xbox One as well

Considering the PS2 Classics version has been delisted and there is a new beta version for the game on Steam (with controller support and proper widescreen) this simply has to be coming to at least PS3 and Steam.

A looottt of stealth port begging already, hahahaha.

Will buy, if only because it'll be the only version I can play on modern systems that is in semi-HD. I have the Steam version, but that version is shit.

Ps4/xb1 maybe next year to give GTAV breathing space? Not PS3 presumably because the cost of porting wouldn't cover the expected sales (because it would be a less straightforward port vs bringing the PC version over to Xbox)

It's not really port begging so much as disbelief at the stupidity of releasing it on only one platform.

If that's how it ends up anyway.

They should include this with GTA 5 next gen since control support on PC is ass and playing this with kb+mouse is not as nice.

I remember reading, a few months ago, how ps4 users would have a surprise when playing GTA V. People speculated it was some sort of exclusive dlc (or timed, most surely). And now this comes out of the blue. Why only 360? That's a game I would gladly pay for to play on the ps3, since my ps2 is out of comission and it's been a while since I played it.

This would have been a nice bonus to the ps4 version. Buy GTA V, receive a code to download SA for the ps3. But since sony snagged the bundle, maybe they trying to make it up for MS with this. I dunno.

Well, shit, I may end up buying this.

I believe it would be my 6th dip into San Andreas. I've purchased GTA:SA on:

  • PS2
  • PC (Retail)
  • PC (Steam during a sale)
  • Xbox 360 as an Xbox Original
  • Android
And... will probably buy again for that 720p.

Hope they tweaked the controls a bit... They weren't great on Xbox Originals.

And by ''improved graphics'' I bet they mean slightly higher resolution textures lol....
