The reflection is just MK8, guessing they are just playing while other stuff is going on (or they're playing the DLC stuff).

The thing is, he talks about a Nintendo (3)DS game that they are demoing, so they might've been playing the MK8 DLC but the embargo seemed to be linked to a 3DS title...or something 3DS related. The reflection is just the MK8 menu screen so no hint there.

I know the description of the Direct says Spring 2015, but Nintendo has gone against what they've said a direct was gonna be about before

You don't see anything, but you hear him talk about a Nintendo (3)DS game they are demoing behind closed doors that's under embargo that they can't show. The reflection of MK8 is unrelated, unless they're also demoing the DLC but that's speculation.

I think it would be smart of Nintendo to start marketing toward 2015 now.
They made a huge mistake last year where they only focused on Mario 3D World. They need to give Christmas buyers assurances more awesome stuff is coming.

I asked because it wouldn't be the first time someone from the press fucks up the name of the consoles/games so I thought he probably didn't know what the heck he's talking about.
Here's hoping someone at NCL is clever enough to realise this and starts doing so with Splatoon. Followed by X. Then StarFox.

Yes, this. They have a decent amount of people potentially about to make the plunge and by a Wii U for Smash/MK8 this holiday - showing off the Wii U's line-up post-holiday (and the variety) could help convince a few more people to jump in and better, help convince people to keep paying attention to the system post-holiday.
Heh yeah I guess we'll find out tomorrow, but it's fun to add some more speculation to the mix. I wonder what it could be.

Xenoblade Cross and Hyrule Warriors DLC is a given, still not sure about DHD trailer. would like to see some Splatoon news. Sad that I can't watch the stream this time.
I wonder if Yoshi, Kirby, Splatoon, or Mario Maker will hit January/February. I'd honestly be somewhat surprised if they did.
ONE of those has to, i'd hope. Definitely not all. Nintendo is usually on a 'one game every other month... except for holidays' schedule.

To be honest, Yoshi could easily be August, with Splatoon in October and Mario Maker in November, I mean I know that sounds ridiculous but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
Also I want multiple playable characters for Mario Maker, like Peach and Luigi, and Rosalina.
I definitely think Yoshi is gonna be the first big title of 2015 (bar Capt Toad for EU) and that it will be February at the latest.
